Ok, I seem to be the Mecca for the desperate cats & dogs. Puppies & kittens appear at my doorstep. Lately a wild kitten lived under my Datsun 240Z for a month. See photo. I caught her last week & took her to the vet. Hookworms & fleas mostly. I feel if I took her to the HS she would not be adopted since she is not your typical “looker”. I’m bringing her home Monday. Got stray?

Not me, but my brother has a stray cat. He caught it as a kitten that lived off june bugs at a local gas station. It's a really nice, friendly cat now. I got my dog at the local Humane Society. She's also very friendly/ She just lives to meet people.

The parents have a black porch cat that adopted them. Over the past 4-5 years it's gone from fully feral to begging for tummy rubs and walking with them around the block. He still vanishes from time to time and comes back with chunks missing, but that happens less and less as he ages.

I suspect in a few more years he'll consent to being a housecat.

Same thing happened to my uncle. He had one stray cat appear out of no where for a few weeks, it looked healthy (a little thin) but in good condition and no tags. He finally decided to take it to the vet and get all the shots and xrays. It now lives in his garage. I believe he now has had another cat show up. Not sure what he's doing with it.
