I took my exhaust out to do some clutch work and couldn't believe how much the chrome and changed to blue and gold. I looked around and found this Blue Job stuff and I couldn't believe how well it worked.
I put very little effort into this and it nearly looks new. This thing was a mess before. [IMG]

Muriatic acid will instantly remove most rust and the gold tint from stainless steel. Just brush on and its gone. No rubbing needed. Then just rinse with water when finished.

That will destroy the chrome shine. The point is to remove the blue, but keep the chrome.

That blue stuff cleans up good! Is that muffler sitting on tan carpet?

Yes. It's probably not the best surface for pictures. If I had taken a before and after outside it would really be obvious.
Here are two pictures of the tips before and after. Which are really the only part you would see anyway. Heat shields cover the rest.

I believe your photo is of polished stainless steel, not chrome. Regardless, muriatic acid will harm neither if used as described. Try it on something else to convince yourself.
