This is our first ferrari need some advice. what are some cool options must have? already getting: metallic red crema stradale wheels ceramic brakes shields deviated stitching recaro electric seats ipod hookup leather parcel shelf leather seat backs led steering wheel f1 upolstered roof aluminum colored calipers bose hifi what else do i need? thanks guys. bill
This may not apply, if you want a single color interior, but: take a look at the interior of the car and consider whether the "leather roof," leather shelf and similar options provide exactly what you want. Ferrari will make an "interior to sketch," allowing you (as far as I know) to specify the color of every piece of leather.
you covered a lot of them i wouldnt get creama but it isnt my car, you can really customize it i heard the voice navigation is terrible
If you're having crema leather seats then make sure you get a dark carpet otherwise the car will look like the inside of a purse. See my 612 (it's not black, it's very dark blue): Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree- two toning the dash will show the details of the car much better. Also watch out for crema dash, you might get some really bad glare coming off the dash.
Welcome from another 6speeder... Personallly I wouldn't do beige... just me though. Should be an amazing car! Any estimates on when it will be delivered? Joe
OK does anyone have pictures of the different beige colors in real life interiors? Also I think the race harness is cool, but is it removable? I feel like it will disrupt the elegance of the interior...am i crazy?
It's not a 599, but here's the diff between crema and beige... the cream is (obviously) the light interior. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96102&highlight=crema
"This is my first Ferrari and my dealer is letting me order a 599" I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry..........
Daytona seats may be more practical from a 'size' perspective. Also NO piping on the seat edges. Metallic red-the new Monza Red? Luca's favorite after only 45 tries... The rest sounds fine if it works for you. horse fan
I think he means the fact that he's having his 599 in 3 months without any past Ferrari ownership whereas some owners here have a 2 year waiting list
Which geographic area are you located in? Did you buy your ordering position at a premium? Sorry to ask these questions but you are looking for advice. Most Fchatters will be taken back that this is your first Ferrari and its a 599.
good question. my father just specked his 3 weeks ago but its his 30th new f car. anyway he specked yellow/blk daytonas yellow stiching no inserts 20" wheels . also asked for the rear shelf and headliner quilted in leather should be cool and all the other normal options shields,hi fi, f1, led wheel. good luck
We are getting the car from a dealer in the Southern part of the US who i will not name due to the controversy this is causing. The dealer is a friend not the dealer in my region who I normally go to, and I don't want to upset anyone at Ferrari NA, or my local dealer for going somewhere else. Please respect these wishes, I am only trying to spec the car correctly not cause a bunch of dealer drama.
OK update thanks for the replies so far BTW it's been a huge help! Right now we are thinking a black upper dash, beige lower dash. Possibly red deviated stitching. Does anybody have picture of a car with black carpeting and beige leather? Also what is your opinion on carbon fiber and how much is too little, how much is too much. Right now I'm thinking the upper trim piece for the dash, all the steering controls and f1 paddles, the center console, and the sport seats all in carbon fiber. Not doing the door sills though. Is this too much, too little, or just right. My vision is a car that says elegant yet super car, which I feel is what this car was made to be. I want it to walk down the street like a ladie, but be a total ho in the bed if you will.
Hats off to your father. I've bought six previously and will have to wait a year for my 599. But my F430 spyder should be going into production soon.
I prefer the darkest of the tan colors. Here is the interior of my (former) F430. Were I to do this combination again, I might spec black accents on the armrests, or elsewhere. I'm not partial to a lot of carbon fiber, though on the launch 599s some carbon was non-negotiable: Image Unavailable, Please Login
One more recommendation, which you've probably thought of: look at all the recent Ferrari interiors you can. The Dupont Registry's website, as well as FNA's, are great sources of examples.
Don't Know if some one already said this was quickly replying, but what about red brake calp's? You know what is an interior is Nasharty's(I believe thats the his forum name) Ferrari 612 Special edition. That would be cool if you could do that, with either the Silverstone color or black. Don't mean to mess things up, but just thought i would give you an option.
Here it is!!! it's amazing love the interior, imagine it on a silverstone or black 599 with red brake calipers. pretty amazing. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=115264
