I've had the bums rush a few times at various places. The Mercedes dealer in SLC when I had the audacity to complain that their parts dept was closed on Saturday. [apparently M owners never work on their own cars]. But the ultimate revenge is voting with your dollars, and I vote to move on to someone who dosn't judge a book by it's cover.[I like jeans and T shirts]
The Porsche dealer in SLC is a perfect example of stupid salesmen led by stupid owners. They crashed a friends Boxster while it was in there for a possible coolant leak and then acted like they were doing my friend a favor fixing it.
I went with him and witnessed their attitude first hand. I immediatly decided to sell my Boxster S. These people can go to H**L.
I went by Steve Harris and in my jeans and T shirt, Shawn is helping me with a 348 they have on the floor, reveals that it leaks, sells me it at a fair price, and takes the Boxster in on trade. I tell Shawn ther story about the P dealer, and he's not surprised.
@ 2 weeks later, I'm back buying some F parts and there's a guy out front with a brand new Carrera GT. I ask Shawn about it and he let's me know this guy bought it from him because the P dealer had blown him off a couple months earlier.
When it was delivered, the first thing the guy did was jump in it and drive the 3 blocks to the P dealer and park it in front.
Apparently all the salesmen flood out to look at it because they haven't seen one and of course the question is asked "where did you buy it".
"Steve Harris, you jerks blew me off a few months ago".
    I fu**ing love it!!!

I'll never buy a car from these A**holes, and I hope no one else does either.

Thank you, I have very strong counsel. They handle a lot of high profile cases. They have a one or two former Supreme Court judges as well as some former Circuit Court of Criminal Appeals judges and former state attorneys. They recently represented Eric Rudolph in his case. Sorry to hijack.

    GCalo,

I am surprised you didn't have the best treatment from FOBH. James and Bryant are very good friends of mine. I never have been treated poorley and I'm not even a Ferrari owner or a customer. I actually met them at the dealership and I was there just to look at the cars. I am sorry you had a bad experience with them. Who do you deal with now? Let me know and I will make sure FOBH takes care of you next time. Aside from that, the only time I had a problem with Ferrari dealership was Ogner. My father and my uncle for some reason would deal with them. We were one of their biggest customers. I mean they would take care of us when it came to getting a car, but everytime we would visit the dealer just for the hell of it, they would totally treat us like crap. The person I could not stand was Irv Ogner, what a jackass. Noel, in regards to your experience, I think you should complain to Ferrari of North America. That is complete crap. No matter who you are a person in general should not treat you that way. Its just disrespectful.

i new here, but from what it sounds like to me is that you were trying to get a 430 early, not just get one. it also sounds like you were trying to play it up by saying you had been to all these dealers and even the factory rewcently. the way i see that is you bragging about "i was at the facotry 2 weeks ago". and my response is, who cares. the way i look at it, if i were the gm there, i would've treated you like that too, because you seem like the kind of ferrari owner who thinks you should get whatever you want because you've owned a ferrari before, or currently own one or whatever. maybe bring your car in for a major service, tubi exhaust and some other things, and im sure he would have been more than happy to help you, all of the 'bragging' isnt needed. and him saying you werent a customer of his is true, you hadnt ever spent any money there, you never had a car serviced there, or made any attempt at an appointment. one thing is true, he will sell the 430s to his dealer's loyal customers, the ones living in vegas, or around vegas, that frequently have thier cars serviced there. i see a lot of that "ferrari mentality", not from all, or even most, but there are the few that think they are the best because they have money and can buy a ferrari that they wont even ever drive hard because they are afraid of getting it scratched. but thats just my opinion.

The dealership has not been open long enough to have built an established customer base, so segmenting your customers based on historical parts and service business isn't possible yet.

I'd be curious to know what kind of sales volume the store has done in the short time they have been open. I presume they would have hired a GM with past experience in the business, and would expect a GM to be bending over backwards at this time to treat everyone right and spread goodwill. This is why they are reaching out to the owners and clubs in the area to build their book. The $10 fee to enter the store in my opinion is ridiculous and creates the wrong image. If they want to cut down on the foot traffic then I like the previously posted ideas of walling it off with glass and having a buzzer to enter. This could be a great opportunity for Ferrari and the store owners to market the brand, but it doesn't seem like they are conducting themselves with any tact. It would make more sense to me if the casino set aside some space as the "museum" area with a few cars and some racing memorabilia and a "stuff" store and charge the $10, and separate it from the dealership space.

The above said, it is Vegas, not exactly known for tact etc. And it may be a Ferrari brand dealer, but it is still a retail store like any other retail store. We are also only looking at one data point, one person's experience, without any knowledge of what the situation was or what the attitude/tone/interaction was like. The GM may have had or believe he had a perfectly valid reason for reacting the way he did, but we don't know the GM's perspective on the situation.
