Bought a 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider today. Keeping my 458 Spider of course!! Always fun when you get to change your signature line!! They will be powder coating my wheels black in a couple days and that's all I'm doing. Already has a Sport exhaust. Not the best pics as I took a couple quick shots before leaving. Excellent choice and congratulations! Some of my best driving days were my Diablo and 360! Please post impressions! KEEP THE Silver RIMS!!!!
Congrats on your addition to your stable of high-perf sports cars! Please give us your impressions of driving the Lambo 580-2 Spider vs. your 458 Spider after you have had sufficient seat-time & opportunity to form an opinion. Your car of course, but I'm with the other guys, leave your wheels silver. - Dave
Beautiful car. Enjoy. I like the silver rims as well. If you were changing them, anthracite is a nice compromise between silver and black. Did you get the magneto suspension or passive.? Big difference in the feel of the car.
Lift system but not magnetic suspension. Yes, ride quality is not as good as 458 with 'bumpy road' on but neither was my Turbo S. That is my take if someone is looking for a softer ride. That jumped out at me in 1 ride. I like the tight steering on this car. That jumped out at me also. Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider Only 2 that I drive.
Hmmmmm.......let's take a vote on the wheels. I didn't listen to majority on my glass back for my 458 Spider and haven't regretted a second of it but we can try again. Lol I'm always looking to stir the pot!! Here are what the wheels look like in black on same model. https://youtu.be/_CWNfWKHDrs Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider Only 2 that I drive.
My preference lies with the passive suspension. Greater feel of the road, more feedback with steering. The magneto is certainly more comfortable and better suited to DD especially on roads that are rough. But for my purposes, too refined.
That is Heather of Lamborghini Toronto in the video. She was my sales rep and she is amazing. Really has a passion and great knowledge of the cars.
Great video!! Figured out where a few things are on the car from that!! I forwarded it to my dealer and told him everyone should get that video with a new purchase!! Tell her thanks! Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider Only 2 that I drive.
I assume you guys like the wheels the way they are because it gives the car a more......I don't know......sophisticated, classy look? Don't know the right word, but is that fair? Or maybe you can elaborate not only on which one you like better but 'why'. Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider Only 2 that I drive.
Very nice! I would think that here in LV the 2WD is the one to have. Unless you plan on going up to Tahoe or Utah a lot with it. Without contrast on the wheel, it looks like the car body has these gaping holes.
Here is my car side by side with a stock 2013. Both 2013 Spiders in Red. https://instagram.com/p/BWTdNlEBgRi/ Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider Only 2 that I drive.
I found this video that shows the same as my car exactly inside and out. https://youtu.be/Ao08lbQXl_U Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider Only 2 that I drive.
Hi cardogspider I have had all combinations of colours of wheels on cars....at one point I was taking all my rims in to get powder coated black for the "murdered" look. I have had the diamond cuts as well. My personal view after many sets of colours and styles, on this type of car is keep them bright silver, they look more classy. Straight black looks like 2 holes where the rims should be. Something I may look at moving forward is a gunmetal grey.. but I'm still back on silver at the minute. Whatever you decide, the car looks stunning Why not print off a couple of pics of the car with black and silver, stick them up on the wall in the lounge for a couple of days....will help you make a decision... Regards Michael
The gap between the wheel wells and the rims has nothing to do with color of the wheels, but rather the size. These wheels are standard 19", with 20" being optional.
Subjectively, black wheels suit certain cars and on specific colors. I do not like black wheels on red Ferraris, specifically 458/488. Makes the car look tough when the whole aesthetic of the 458/488 is refined and elegant. On the other hand, a black or matte grey Aventador looks great with black wheels.
I think I am going to hold off on the black wheels for now. I am also getting my windows tinted so that will also be a big area with a dark contrast. Thanks to all. Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2017 Lamborghini 580-2 Spider Only 2 that I drive.
You do realize if you get the black wheels you will also need the obligatory gold chains and pinkie ring. Many congrats on your new rig.
