1981 BB (carburated) car. Was one of the last Carburated cars built; 07/81 Purchased here locally at Norwoods where it is currently undergoing a major. Looked at bunches of them and , for me, this car fits best. It was originally white and repainted red somewhere between factory and before the first retail purchaser picked it up. So the original dealer Francorchamps (Sp ?) in Belgium did it or the importer BAE did . First owner had the car many years and did not even know it was done until the second owner did some research on the car and found the factory specs . I am the third owner. Paint presently is OK but not concours by any means. For me this is good so that I can drive it guiltlessly without concern about chips. I didnt want a garage queen with this car. Black interior is VERY nice. Has all books, tools, and records. As a bonus the lead spinner hammer has never been used. The first I have EVER seen in a boxer. Tool briefcase/kit looks brand new. Cant wait, perhaps it will be done in time for the X-mas run ? Did I mention its carburated ? Shaweeet !
Oh man, congrats! I just love the way the carbureted Ferraris sound! And only 3 owners? That's a well enjoyed car!
David, congrats! Since recovering from my 330 2+2 getting crunched last May, I've been looking for another Ferrari. I took a close look at the Boxer that is now yours and went out with Mike for a ride/test drive. What's not to fall in love with...it's as near-perfect a "driver" as I've ever seen. I did give it serious consideration. However, lining up insurance on a Boxer didn't prove promising after my accident, and the old V12 4-seaters are more my speed anyway. You made an awesome purchase. Have fun and hang onto your drivers license!
David, as we discussed Sat. at TMS a big congrats. I will be forced to cruise by Norwoods and eyeball it. It is always great to welcome another member to the 12 cylinder mid engine fraternity!
His a 79 if I'm not mistaken. Congrats again David, I'm looking forward to checking it when it's ready.
No but it was a local Dallas guy. Robert and I were always a bit apart in price. About the pictures; I can take pics, posting them is another matter.
Problem is when I was subscribed Politics and Religion drew me in like a moth to the flame. Was tired of getting burned. Do you ever have anything nice to say ? Oh yeah, I forgot the
