IMO some people might have it out for him. His revived United Artists doesn't appear to be doing too well out of the gate especially with the recent "Lions For Lambs" bomb. Maybe he pissed some people off with his Paramount departure? Hard to tell, but he's currently not sucking the right, "you know what?"

 

Maybe he should team up with Kevin Costner for WaterWorld 2,3, and 4?

They cleared up the issue with the GDR and were able to shoot at the Liar, and the release got pushed back as they had to reshoot a big battle scene and because of the writers strike didn't have any writers to work on the rework of the scene. They signed a interum deal with the WGA the other week and have set a shooting date. Such things happen in the film industry.

FWIW living here in L.A. I do know a few Scientologist and they're all very kind and generous people. But, there's always religious nutjobs in every group. I find the "religion" to be intreging as many U.S. States and other governments have begun to fund Narconon drug treatment centers, which are based on L. Ron Hubbards Scientology beliefs. Here in L.A. Scientology is everywhere...

 

OK. And I think we should lay off the religious comments, just out of concern for the appearances in the thread.

However, I must say in general that I have a deep distrust of all things that maintain such control and secrecy, not just this particular one. Makes me wonder what they have to hide.

I am very wary of this "Church", its not a church it is a very rich organisation that is going to try place its members into positions of power. That way this "church" can rule what we know as the free world. But it wont be so FREE once they get ahold of it. They need to be watched closely.
