Is anyone doing here the GP Rally ? http://cars.grandprix.com.au/event_info/gp_rally Apparently they finish at the GP, and do a parade lap of the circuit.... A friend has entered his 360 www.qplanet.org/q/ferrari/kp/600_1837.jpg ......even dressed it up for the event . www.qplanet.org/q/ferrari/kp/700_1954.jpg www.qplanet.org/q/ferrari/kp/700_1960.jpg
I think a good mate of mine, Rod Salmon might be entering it. Dont know if he has, or what in, but i might look it up. WOW Nice scheme on that 360! It looks fkn awesome! Ill keep an eye out for it when im down there!
Saw your mates 360 at Federation Square today, does look sweet. Your friend was very tolerant of the fans literally crawling over his Ferrari, I sure as hell wouldn't have been.
I competed in the 2005 GP rally as a navigator - it was the first time competing in this sort of event for the driver & myself and the car had only been purchased 4 weeks before the event. Had a great time, will definately do it again next year circumstances permitting. The pointy end of the field is Porsche / Evo / GTR / M3 , there were 2 Ferrari's entered, the red 360 seen in the preceding photographs and a yellow 355. The 355 was driven in a very spirited fashion and easily had the best sound of any car on the rally. That said, the outright performance of the 355 was below my expctations in such events as the drag race at Heathcote or the high speed runs at You Yang where the results were OK but not earth shattering. The red 360 has some mechanical problems ( water leak ) and it was not a frontunner at any stage in the event. The event is not Ferrari -friendly, in that many of the stages were short motorkhana events in carparks where a tight turning circle, power steering, powerful handbrake and a quick gearshift are essential. Some of the sealed road sections were quite rough and would have damaged a car with low ground clearance. Michael
