Yep, someone already beat you to it. Regardless for the GT fans like me, I'll try to pick up a copy even though I don't have one on reserve. Hopefully there will not be a shortage. It's about frickin' time.

Website says it has LAN play mode, is that online or like 2 playstations connected? If its online we should all get toghether and race.

 

Most likely Gamestop & Best Buy will, they did it for San Andreas & Doom 3.


On another note, I got my GT3 copy on the morning of its release at Best Buy, I asked the clerk if they had any copies & looked at me very puzzled. At first he told me it's not out yet or we don't stock it. I asked him to check the back stock & all I got was eyes rolled at me as he went to go check. It turns out they had boxes of them in the back & they didn't bother putting out for sale. I later found out though a DSM that none of the GT3 displays, promo items, etc.. were never used for that store. They were just left in boxes without a clue. Let’s just say he wasn't very happy about the whole incident.

 

Still no online mode but at least it is a new GT game with new cars and tracks.

 

Electronics Boutique does, at least they did for Halo 2.

 

The website for GT4 lists tons of cars that will be in game..... but not a single Ferrari?!?!?!?!?

So, for f-car fans what will you do?

this game is gonna suck. i'd rather get forza, or i might get midnight club 3.

 

reason..... Ferrari didnt want to sell liscenses to them, so its their fault. Dont blame the game. i think you can find a good car with 600+ cars. Some of my favorites are gonna b: all the M3s, Mclaren, Pagani, Viper, Z06, GT, RUFs, Aston Martins. there are plenty to choose from, the lack of Ferraris is troubling but i will survive.

What are the other hot driving games that are current?

I used to play Grand Prix Legends all the time and race online. It was tons of fun. I will probably load it back up, but thats a pure racing sim.

I want a game where I can drive lots of cool cars in ultra realistic real world environments. A bonus would be to have old cars! I want to drive my Daytona on the computer! So something with a good physics model, tons of cars including older cars and some online play....

Does such an animal exist? Links?

Doesn't seem too different from A-spec, other than more tracks and cars that I have no interest in driving, other than the McLaren.
600+ cars and only maybe 100 good ones, maybe and 20 I care about

 

Good points Dan, but I still enjoyed the Clio from GT3. And this... ahhh... Nordschlieffe. If I want to run that track, I have to crack out the Grand Prix Legends CD. I'm just anxious to see how the new Logitech wheel works, which I purchased in anticipation for the last delay, back in October.

 

Is that wheel all its really cracked up to be. I dont think i should spend 150 for a steering wheel

 

From what I understand, the choice of not having damage to the vehicles was purely in respect to the automobile manufactures. Polyphony felt that it was disrespectful & misrepresents the companies that loaned all the cars, information, etc in order to get the game published.
