    There seems to be a decent wish list of cars for GT5 over at GTP Forums, but it's a bit weak on Ferraris - thought I'd throw this link out so we can get this straightened out: http://gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59880

    Not a lot of 60s cars there, need to fix that.

    I heard EA (Electronic Arts) has a pretty strong grip on the Ferrari/Lambo rights right now. I think it was stated that they lose these (or need to re-new, not sure) in 2006?

    The man behind the Gran Turismo series keeps saying he would love to feature Ferraris in his game, and that if he was able to attain the license, he would have stalled GT4 until they were implemented.

    i think it'd be cool if it had more historic/winning/retired race cars.....

    That list is ridiculous. "Hey, let's name every single focking car ever made". "Oh no, GT5 will only be out in 15 years? And it will be on 4 DSKs (Digital Super Key ... replacing DVDs, about 200Go each). Not even available for PS6? Come on!"

    There are a lot of cars I'd love to see ... but if GT5 also takes 5 years to put out ... we'll just wait for new cars coming out ...

    Every car ever made is right, I thought the same thing. Is it really a unique car if it has a new front bumper and different stickers?

    It would make more sense to spend development time on only a dozen cars or so, split between modern & historic, touring and race. I wonder if there will ever be add on packs - you could sell it on a second memory card. Sounds like a good business idea for someone.

    Well... SCREW EAGAMES! We should boycott them so they go out of buisness so GT5 can have Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. ;)

    Haha ya no doubt. EA also was attempting to gain exlusive NFL/NBA and NCAA rights for their games for like a 10 year period. Basically making them the only people who can make sports video games with actual players.

    Extremely lame.

    Wasn't Need For Speed: Hot Persuit 2 the last game from them with Ferrari's and Lambo's?

    Ya. Think theres a new one called um...Midnight City DUBS edition or something that has a lambo. Not sure though.

    Either way the game wasnt realistic at all.

    I know I've seen/read an interview with him and he said he wanted to have Ferrari's in the game as you said. But this was back at around the release time for GT3.

    Saw an ad on TV for the DUBS game, it looked pretty lame to me. There seems to be more and more ads nowdays where I'm clearly NOT the target market....

    They DID buy the NFL rights, and ditched John Madden. So no Sega ESPN 2k6 coming out now... at least not with real teams/players. It will just be EA NFL 2006.

    Well, if EA owns the rights to Ferrari video game use (I doubt this), how did Sega get them for Outrun 2 and Microsoft get them for PGR and Forza? If they are sublicensed, why can't Sony buy it from EA just the same?
