Guys. this is going to be a great day. we are meeting at the Ikea parking lot just off the 85 in Atlanta. address is 441 16th street, Atlanta.

we will meet there at 8:00 am.

from there we will jump on 20 and head towards Birmingham. we have a car club corral waiting for us. the best way to get your ticket is on line. go to

www.barbermotorsports.com , purchase a Sunday ticket for $ 30.00 , then select car club corral and select what make of car corral you are interested in so you can park with your friends. the password is carclub05

that way, for 30 bucks you get a race day ticket, a paddock pass, and a car club corral pass. they do make you pay an 8 dollar shipping and handling fee , but I think its worth it.

we will have 2 Grand AM drivers come talk with us in the Lotus corral, and you guys are all welcome to park with us . we may even get into the Barber museum for a tour of all the race cars. if you havenent been in the museum, you will be in for a great treat. that place has F 1 cars hanging on the wall, tons of motorcycles, and race cars everywhere.. if you think Flashback is cool, the Barber museum will give you the best suprise of your life.

its a couple hr drive to Barber from Atlanta, but its a nice drive.

reminder, you need to bring a pair of pants to the track to get into the paddock. they have a rule about not having your legs exposed so throw a pair of pants into your car on Sunday.

when we go see Alex Gurney, and tell him that he is braking too early in at the apex, we will need to have pants on.

I will bring a couple pair of sweat pants just incase people forget.

Wow, Ferraris were outnumbered by Lotus models at the Barber Track today!

    Counting my 348 Spider, there seemed to be half a dozen Ferraris: A rossa 250, a black 308 (Tommy Cosgrove's), a rossa 512Bbi, a silver 360 Spider (Rob's), and a yellow 550 Spider (F1 Import's).

Charles Barkeley made the pace lap; Fitipaldi raced.

Man, what a fun day. I didnt see a 348 tho.. darn, I love 348's. I saw the Boxer and the yellow 550 Barchetta, oh a silver 360.

    yesterday was soooo much fun.

It was a nice turn out of all exotics.

lets all do that again in the fall.

Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know that out of all the makes and models represented in the car corral, the Lotus and the Ferrari group were the most impressive on the hill while enjoying the view from the paddock club. Very nice! Rachel

How could you guys have missed the most impressive of them all? I went there with a Murcielago Roadster in Pearl Orange. We had to finally ask people to give us some space, one person actually opened the car while we were not there, set off the alarm, and were taking pictures of themselves in it. When we got there with the alarm blaring, we asked them what they were doing and they told us to ,"hold on, he didn't get his picture in it yet." My client almost flipped. And to add to that, it was in the pit area under the Tafel Racing Trailer overhang!!!! My co-worker was there also with the Storm Titanium Elise with the black exige wheels and he said that the response to the car being there was awesome. Great event, sorry I didn't see you guys.

You drove in about 20 cars in front of me in the line at the entrance.

And yeah, I had a family of four taking pictures of the kids inside mine. But with the top down, it's a difficult car to resist.

No one got any dirt or anything inside, so no harm no foul.

Sorry, didn't see you. I thought that I got a pretty good look at all the cars in line when I was there. I have no problem letting people take pictures but when someone esentially "breaks in" to the vehicle when you are not there and gets in with the alarm blaring, that is a little bit too much.
All in all though, a great time had. Where did you end up parking the car?

Nope, that was Chad Mann. He works with me and like I am the Lamborghini Manager, he is the Lotus Manager. I don't know if you know him or not but I think I introduced him too you when you were here not too long ago.
