    The Grand American Road Racing Association will be at VIR April 21st through 23rd for GrandAm Cup Series racing on Saturday and Rolex series racing on Sunday. Practice is all day Friday. ROAR Racing is planning to sponsor a hospitality tent for the FCA to show in force and have a nice place to park. The car corral will have spaces for 15 cars, maybe 20 if there is enough interest, right behind the tent as I understand it. There are only 20 tickets at a reduced price available with the tent so when those are gone they are gone. Six of the twenty are already gone. Below are the prices.
    Friday only $10
    Saturday only $20, includes lunch
    Sunday only $35, includes lunch
    Three day pass $45, includes lunch Saturday and Sunday.

    The only draw back to this great deal is you will have to read the ROAR Racing literature inconspicuously placed around the tent. It is time for those that are interested to chime in. For those that choose not to take advantage of this great offer are more than welcome to come by the tent to look at the cars and read the ROAR literature.:)

    Ill be going to this. Is this the same Roar Racing team that was at VIR this past weekend during the THSCC event? How do I go about getting one of the 3 day passes?

    Hey John,

    This team and the one at VIR this past weekend are one and the same. I'm not sure how the special tickets are to be had... but I'm sure someone will be able to say. I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone there!

    Yeah... 99 entries... but nice thing about VIR is its a loong track... I bet they'll get spaced out pretty well. Should be an amazing race.

    3-day tickets are available in advance by calling VIR or you can get them at the gate.

    For those that have actually requested tickets, I have your names. I am not exactly sure how we can arrange the ticket and fund transfer, but will let you know just as soon as details are worked out. Bob is correct that you can purchase advance tickets from VIR if you do not get them from ROAR. I think the ROAR tickets are the best deal, but supply is limited, the VIR advance tickets are next. If you wait and get them at the door get ready to bend over.

    What is the event schedule? I can only some for one day. Should that be Saturday or Sunday? I assume the race is on Sunday?

    According to reliable sources:

    Saturday: 9-10 am Daytona prototype practice
    Saturday: Grand Am Cup
    Sunday: Big event starts at 1:00 pm, over by 3:45.

    I will probably want to come on Sunday, definitely want one ticket, possibly more (checking).

    FYI, I know not many people here are students, but there is a $5 discount on tickets with a student ID. They advertised in the paper at school. I'll double check it tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure that is what it was.

    Really??? Do you know if this is something new, or if it has been that way for a long time? I must have been to atleast 15 events over the years... arrrrgh. Hehe, oh well. If you can verify that, thats definitely good information to know.

    I assume it is just for this event. They took out a half page ad in the paper, so apparently they are trying to garner some interest from the college crowd.

    Here is the ticket recap I have at this point. If I don't have you on the list and you wanted a ticket let me know so I can arrange it. I plan to leave the list of those that will get tickets at the "Will Call" window for you to pick up. I apologize for that but I have to travel next week and won't be able to get them mailed before I leave. Please come by the ROAR Racing paddock and pay Nick or Ravelle for your tickets. This way I get to show everyone some more advertising.

    J. Salmon 1 ticket for Sunday, $35.
    resnow 2 tickets for Saturday, $40.
    4RECCCXLVIII 1 three day pass, $45.
    Jack Russel Racing 1 three day pass, $45. The three day was less expensive.
    bruceski3 1 ticket for Friday, $10.

    If I missed your request or you need to change a date let me know. I still have 11 for Friday, 7 for Saturday, and 10 for Sunday.

    Who is going to VIR tomorrow? I'll be shooting up from Winston-Salem, probably around 5 or 5:30 if anybody wants to carpool or caravan up to VIR. Plenty of room in my xterra for hitch-hikers!!

    When is a couple of weeks?? Around May 6 or so, I would presume....

    Dwight, that would be on the 10th. Not sure what day of the week that is, but that's what the schedule says.

    BTW, if anyone's going tomorrow, be sure to say 'eh' to my boys from Toronto driving the RSXs in Grand Am Cup, Aaron and Karl. And tell Karl that he's buying lunch on Tuesday.

    Ahh you will be in the One Lap America which will be Wednedsay May 10th. I will def be there for that day but I will be with the AMS Evo VIII Team with Jon Krolewicz driving in the Mid Priced Sedan Class.
    Whew today was fun though. A little bit of sprinkles but mostly clear which turned out perfect.
    Btw what happened to Joe (Jotec) from Cali?? I didnt see him all day and I heard he wasn't feeling too well. I hope everything is better come raceday!!! Good luck to everyone since I will be stuck at work this weekend. Peace
