Good evening boys and girls. I have recently moved to sun shiney western CO from cloudy and cold western Montana and was wondering if there are any Fcar owners in Mesa County. All I have seen so far is ricers(not that there is anything wrong with them) with way to much testostrone behind the wheel.

The Continental Divide east of Aspen is 12,256 ft.
    Aspen is 8,000 ft.

    What's GJ, about 5-6,000 ft?

I believe the FCA Fall Foliage Tour is going to GJ and touring the wineries.

I used to only drink on days that end in Y.
Now I only drink on days that begin with T.

Life is too short not to own a Ferrari and be an F1 race fan.

    Ciao

Less than 5,000 if you can believe it - despite being west of Denver, it's lower in elevation. Grand Junction is around 4,600 feet.

Hey Vern, welcome to the neighborhood! Besides Phil and I, there are a couple other owners around, though I haven't seen them on F-chat they are members of FCA. Last summer I kept seeing another red 308 around Glenwood, but never figured out who that was.
Anyway, hope to meet you at some of the events this summer! -m

I see you are moving from Kalispell. I spent the summer of '88 up there doing road construction. Man, I had a great time up there.

Niki, I remember seeing a pic of you here a few years ago and just because your gorgoeus(sorry dad/Dave) AND apparently like Fcars/mechanical stuff doesn't mean you should treat me like an old worn out shoe, hahaha. Honestly I can't remember when I caused any significant chaos... of course everyones definition on that could be different. So quit bein' mean to me!!! Regards, Vern

Hey I have to ask you guys who live on the Western Slope, where do you get your cars repaired or serviced assuming you do not do the work yourselves? We are considering moving there but with 2 Alfas and a Ferrari I'm not sure I can keep the cars. I do some little stuff with my cars but essentially I do not work on my own cars.

My decrepit pile of 400i remains and I reside right here in river city. Welcome to the neighborhood! As for F-cars in the area: there was a nice 328 GTS running around last summer on a fairly regular basis. and I saw a 348 with bright yellow wheels about three weeks back. Ferraris are a rare breed around these parts.

Hi Tman, I just moved here so I don't know if there is anyone here who does work on Italian stuff. It doesn't make any difference in my case I do my work myself. Regards, Vern

Really? I'm no expert and I didn't get a very good look, but I would have sworn it was a 348 because I thought I saw the TR-style side strakes. This was on Highway 141 near Gateway when I saw it. (A great road for your car - minimal traffic, negligible police presence, a nice mix of various curves plus some good straightaways, and nice scenery. Just watch for deer.)

Tman, I don't know of a shop around here that I would allow anywhere near either an Alfa or a Ferrari. If you can't do your own work you're basically SOL. For crying out loud, you have to go 90 miles to Glenwood Springs to get a VOLKSWAGEN serviced.
