that patch should be good. i was playing for a couple hours last night and me and a few random people kept redoing a mission where you get like $9,000. it got me up to a little over $100,000. then i died 3 times when i got back in free roam and then i had $88,000. key thing is try not to die in free roam. they take like $5,000 away from you everytime you die
Not if you deposit your money into the stock market. Don't start the Franklin missions until you have some good $cratch.
i'm talking about online. when another player kills you, you lose a ton of money even if you deposit it into your bank account. i was so close to buying an apartment online, but got killed a couple times and lost about 15 grand
Can you play in 'online' mode without other players? ie: Not join anyone elses game.. just a solo free-roam?
Thanks, I'll check it out. I was just wanting to free-roam the city with my own avatar and buy the 10-car garage... without actually 'joining' with anyone else (or having to pay for live/gold). I finished the main story last night. Tonight I'll do the assassination missions to max out my cash: The Daily Hint: Grand Theft Auto 5 - Become A Billionaire
I would assume that accessing any form of multiplayer even solo online will require GOLD because you are accessing Rockstar servers. Scott85: No fchat crew, I haven't bothered because of the time different to USA so I wouldn't be playing with you guys anyway but feel free to start one. Both consoles can join the same crew tho of course you can only play with your own console members. You can join up to 5 crews anyway
I haven't played since the weekend so thought about a few quick missions after dinner. I started up my PS3 & noticed there is another patch (version 1.03) out. I tried to download it but it causes my PS3 to go to a black screen & do nothing. I'm not ever sure if that's considered a crash. I went ahead a tried to reboot the system only to find out keeps doing the exact same thing. Well crap, I went to the forums & found out there has been many server issues, games crashing or freezing, cars, money, online profiles disappearing, glitches galore, etc.. It's a widespread issue & it's screwing over a lot of people. I'll go ahead & say it, Rockstar rushed this game to market before getting all the bugs out, especially the online section, I tried it over the weekend I could not get it to work correctly, I got frustrated with it & went ahead on the the story mode missions. I know this is almost expected with any title launch, but this downright embarrassing.
Big patch coming out next week which fixes the disappearing cars/characters. Bonus $500k for everyone on GTA Online. GTA Online ?Stimulus Package? gives free money to early adopters | Metro News
The 1.03 update is fixed & uploads now, I've notice only in story mode some of the missions now are a bit harder but that's all the fun of the puzzle. I'll need to try the online mode sometime today.
This is incredible... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeMuJbn_OhA]Trevor Phillips (Steven Ogg) from GTA 5 Tells me "Go F*** Yourself" NY Comic Con 2013 (Original) - YouTube[/ame]
I finally bought my apartment online. Nice to spawn inside your place. I have been in a few different apartments from the $200k to $400k range and they all look the same inside it's more about the view you want or location. 10 car garage is nice. You get the GTR for free when you join social club.
Do the cars cost the same in Online mode? (ie: $1M for the Adder) If so, $500k doesn't seem like very much money at all.
Got the $500k last night. My sister bought the $391k apt and it has an incredible panoramic view of the city. I went for the most expensive one at $400k and the view was only part of what my sister got. They are decorated exactly the same. I highly recommend the $391k apt. Btw if you decide to sell and get a different one you only get about 50% of the value. I don't know why they don't offer houses like the one Franklin got as a gift n the SP. I also wish they would let you tour the property before buying and have the ability to make changes to personalize it like they did in TDU2.
Yeap. Tho modding cars cost a lot more money online. I'd say maybe 3x more. Easily put $300k into a car without trying. You can only own one property at a time and the most expensive 10 car apartment are only $400k. Tho the apartments look all the same inside regardless if you buy a cheap one or top of the range. Which is a poor game design decision. The money was just a "we are sorry" then anything else. It should of come out weeks ago, unless you started late you would of easily made $500k by now.
