There will be a party for the Maserati GranTurismo at Park Place Maserati in Dallas this Thursday night from 7:00 to 9:00. Come out and take a look at the car if you get a chance, as it is absolutely stunning. All F-Chatters welcome. Hope to see you there.

Cool, do you work there? Be sure to tell them about FerrariChat.com and sponsorship opportunities. Thanks.

    What is the retail?

Rob, the retail will be approx $120k to $130k. Don't quote me though, the personnel at Boardwalk told me this info.

    Rob,

I do currently work at Park Place Maserati. As a matter of fact, I am the sales director for Maserati. We met back in 2000-2001 when the American LeMans series came to Dallas and you and I were the only 2 Ferrari owners at the time to participate in the drive around the track. You still had your 328 and I had my 85 Mondial Coupe. We did laps on the road course at Texas Motor Speedway, and had a relative blast doing the requisite 45 mph.

Anyways, I have talked to Jonathan Peck about attening F-Chat events a couple of times but we have just missed each other. I am sure we would love to sponsor F-Chat to some capacity, but I currently do not own a Ferrari (I have an 06 Maserati GranSport Spyder, among other cars) and have been considering a 550 for quite awhile.

    Rob,

Yes it has been a long time, and I have been following it pretty much since that time. I have just been sitting on the sidelines watching F-Chat grow and meeting F-chatters off line. Would love to hook up again. Beside, I now have access not only to Maseratis, but also any Ferraris that anyone might need.

I did stray and purchased one of the first Aston Martin V8's in the country, but 8 months and 600 miles later, I had to go back to an Italian car.

I might drive by the dealership tonight if I have time. Is it the same one from ItalianCarFest or do you have a different one in another color?

With my lanyard from Ricambi (thanks again, Daniel!)

Got to bring the Rover in for service, looks like a good chance to see the new Maser up-close.

I look forward to seeing some fellow F-chatters from the DFW area.

    Thanks for the invite, Karl.

Did anyone go to this? I went for a few minutes, but didn't see any familiar faces. It was more crowded and dressy than I expected.

The GranTurismo was the same one from ICF, and they had the old 3500 GT1 parked out front near a $309,000 Rolls Royce.

I went and met Karl. (thanks again)

Beautiful car and wonderful party, too.

I didn't know anyone else there, but the cars, food and entertainment were great!!

It was VERY crowded, but I can definately see why.

I was there too....seemed to be the only other person with a camera.....glad I changed before I went there because it was dressy. I think last night I finally found out who in fact Maseratis are made for. It was a bit too crowded to enjoy the car but it was very nice all in all...even though I didn't know anyone else there. Nice music too...good job to the organisers.

No, you weren't the only one. I was the OTHER guy with a camera there lol. I was wearing a very conspicuous multicolored pastel dress shirt, so you probably know exactly who I am, I'd imagine. I agree, these cars are made for a more... Mercedes type crowd, but that is to be expected considering many of the people in attendance were Bentley and other luxury car owners rather than exotic owners... the GranTurismo is still one of the most beautiful cars I've seen though. It has a little 599 in it, and to be quite honest, reminds me of an upscale Camaro... which I really like the idea of!
