Ok - Searched the threads - Need some clarification from the Maser experts:

    2009 - Granturismo S - Comes with 4.7, slight bodywork mods, 20-inch wheels etc.

Question 1: Do ALL 2009 S's have the MC-Shift or only 300-500 of total production? If answer is portion of the total S production and only in 2009 then is the only difference between a MC-Shift "S" and a non-MC-Shift "S" (Automatic?) the speed and thresholds of the shifting? I.e. same exhaust, same suspension, brakes etc.?

Question 2: I have seen ads for 2009 Granturismo S's without the flat, semi-oval exhaust and instead have quad exhaust - 2 on each side - Is this indicative of a non-MC-Shift "S"?

Thanks and appreciate you indulging what may be ignorant questions - Cheers!

Only the 2009's and only a few of them have the 599 F1 super fast transmission - u can tell if u are looking at one by the absence of the shifter knob on the center consul

Gotcha - Thanks - So other than the lack of the shifter and obviously the hyper-fast shifting is everything else (exhaust sport mode/bypass - wheels - brakes etc) the same?

Are there or has anyone had any concerns with future parts availability, support, longevity, issues etc. with the MC-Shift or is this mitigated by it being basically the same transmission as in the 599?

    Thanks again!

Can you post a photo of the shifter knob and its location, please?

Here is a picture of the interior of my 2009 GTS with the 599 F1 Transmission. The picture is not the best but you can see that there is no gear shift. An amazing car in so many aspects!!!
