    As an old redneck dating back to the good old days of NASCAR when the cars were faster than the tracks and there was no power steering and it was a beer guzzlin crowd it seem like the sport is evolving. Todays event being broadcasted to 150 countries and in 75 or so languages seem to support the spread of it popularity. I hope the beer and hot dog crowd doesn't get replaced by the cheese and wine group. So go out to the refrig. on the front porch and go inside and sit back and crack open that Bud (we don't drink beer from a mountain stream) and get the chips out and enjoy. So sit back and enjoy the big iron show

    It was fun to see how the very European crowd at Goodwood Festival of Speed (UK) enjoyed and cheered the NASCAR and other American Iron cars. These things are popular in Europe and it wouldn't surprise me if NASCAR would follow CART and do an oval race in UK or Germany some day. After all the American market gets saturated at some point.

    Personally I have warmed up a little to NASCAR. I'm still far from being a fan, but my respect for these guys is growing (standing on top of the Daytona bankment and looking down does that very fast) and I would love nothing more than another edition of "trading paint".
