http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/1684070337.html if anyone's in the market it seems like a great deal to me.
Nice color combo, and the price sounds cheap (assuming it doesn't have damage history, salvage title, need lots of TLC, etc, etc.). Dustin, have you seen this car or talked with the seller?
Something I really don't get: That 348 looks very nice though - I wonder what the history is like. All the best, Andrew.
IF someone runs an AutoCheck on it and it shows its from Southern California 5-6 years ago. I possibly know the car and the previous owner. I doubt there were more than a couple in this color combo in a TS in 1990
This color combo is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Why so "friggin" cheap: the ad said "must sell it". You remember how quickly that $30k red/tan TS sold in Florida a couple months ago, right? ...
I think so - which is unfortunate for those of us who haven't bought theirs yet. lol All the best, Andrew.
In inflation-adjusted dollars? No, I don't think so. They're not fast enough to be supercars and they're not pretty enough to become classics. I think they're a good bargain if you want a post-328 Ferrari-badged car. I think all the V8s are destined to become just used cars with the expected depreciation. Those of us with the 308-328s -know- we're driving old/slow cars, it's all about the experience. Strongest relative values in the future, to me, lie with the early 308s, the 355 manual cars, and the 458. All that said, I still want this car
Even if they don't, it's still a fairly safe bet that a well-kept 348 will be worth more in 5 years than a comparably-priced SUV...
i have no affiliation with the seller, and i have never seen the car, just thought it was a pretty good deal. i noticed it on cars.com the other day too. In terms of the prices, my personal opinion is that they will hold their value at this point. i cant imagine them dropping any more. Even the 308 and 328's i still see for sale in the mid to upper 30's all the time. I feel like i got a pretty decent deal on my 348 and even if it did loose a little value, to me the feeling of driving and owning one more than makes up for it. I think as a brotherhood we should all post our cars on autotrader and ebay at 70k+ and give the market a boost of our own.
I do recall that one...I also recall another one not to long ago (I thought it was Dallas or somewhere in Texas) that sold for $29,900 a few hours after it was listed
Mike, Could you post that one of your SS parked next to some flowers? I did have it saved somewhere but can't seem to find it on my hard drive or on the forum at the moment. All the best, Andrew.
