Was wondering if some of you could post fun roads that you like to drive on? I'm in Northern Virginia, and I can tell you that Hampton Road off of Rt. 123 in Fairfax, is one of the best roads in Northern VA, long and twisty.

There are no great roads in Virginia anymore. There's too much traffic. Even Sniper Kitty gave up and moved to Maryland. With that said, if you get up at o' dark hundred and drive to King George and get on Route 3, take it all the way south to the Tridewater area and you might have some fun. There's a Thai place to eat at about half way to the Tridewater.

Rural Loudoun works for me and I live right in it. Only issue is avoiding the gravel roads.

Rappahannock County! Nice roads around Flint Hill and Little Washington. Eat at 4 & 20 Blackbirds, the Public House (both in Flint Hill) or treat yourself at the Inn at Little Washington.

Fairfax Station Rd off of Rt. 123 has some nice sharp turns but is too short.

That is correct...my buddies and I have taken our bikes out there numerous times. I'd say 211 up the mountain but that's now heavily policed thanks to the bikers who treat it like a racetrack. 33 is great though...but i'm not sure how to get there.

Yeh 211 and 33 near the mountains are very fun roads. Hunter Mill Road in Fairfax is one I know too, very twisty...

If you're ever in SW Virginia there are tons of backroads with little traffic to go on.

There was one particular road off the Blue Ridge Parkway going towards Roanoke was quite exciting. You are on top of a plateau and the road suddenly drops down the side of of at around 45 degrees. The whole time you can see the valley out beside you.. That is, if you have time to take your eyes off the road.

Attached it a picture from the top of it.

Rock Creek Parkway right in DC is always fun late at night. Nice tiled tunnel in there too for the Tubi junkies...

There is a great stretch of road between South Boston and Danville Virginia. It is called Virginia International Raceway. Just went this weekend with my 360, speeds up to 145- 150. Police are very nice, because there are not there. Safe, fun and relaxing.

Yeh VIR is a great track. I've been there with a friend who races in the SCCA, good times.

What's the minimum overage for a reckless driving offense in VA? 15mph?

I thought it was 20 mph. Don't ask me how I, ah, know that, ummm, little fact. Yeah.

To Sam, she says she doesn't know what you are talking about (probably 'cause she only knows a few English words, like "eat"). She even knows that word when I spell it. Scary! Hey Sam, could you bring us some bagels or something from Denny's? :)

Going on one of these roads doesn't mean speeding.
