    I just bought an 812 and I am looking for recommendations for a mechanic at Bay Area Ferrari dealerships.

    NorCal 812 owner here as well. My question is why?
    Wouldn't an independent dealer need up to date diagnostic tools and, for example, access to software updates?
    Why would one expect a non-dealer mechanic to be caught up on the latest and greatest issues and fixes?

    I hear the desire, but I just wonder if an independent could actually properly service this car.

    I’m not talking about an independent. I am asking for a recommendation for the name of a top tech at an authorized Ferrari dealer like Ferrari San Francisco.
