the finest car of them all imo. what does all you ferrari fans think of this car? http://dugmar.smugmug.com/gallery/71983/2
It's the finest looking McLaren F1 variant, IMO, but I wouldn't want to ride in one for more than 5 minutes...it's beyond deafening. Straight-cut gears, free flowing exhaust, no sound-proofing whatsover, lexan instead of glass...yikes! There's a very good reason why ear muffs came standard with the LM Impressinve machine though! It's not Herb Chambers'--his is a silver roadcar with no spoiler.
How do I see the pics full resolution (only a couple are clickable)? They're great. A shame one can't save them! I'd love to save and resize them to fit my desktop.
wow those are amazing if you look at the source code you can find where the actual images are stored and then save them ;-) that's what i did
From one source .... ------------------------ Chassis: LM01 Location: Brunei Owner: Sultan (what's his name)? Description: One of two Black LM's. Chassis: LM02 Location: Japan or Brunei Owner: .... or Sultan Description: Papaya/Historic Orange Chassis: LM03 Location: U.S.A. (Massachusetts) Owner: Frank Selldorff Description: Papaya/Historic Orange *Note: according to Frank himself, this LM was previously owned by David Morisson, but he was forced to sell it due to legal reasons. Chassis: LM04 Location: Brunei Owner: Sultan (what's his name)? Description: One of two Black LM's. Chassis: LM05 Location: Japan or Brunei Owner: .... or Sultan Description: Papaya/Historic Orange Chassis: XP1LM Location: UK (Mclaren Factory) Owner: Mclaren Description Papaya/Historic Orange with black XP1 Badging ------------------------ Of course all of the Sultan's are shifty, nobody really knows what color or how many, but this one is definitely Frank Selldorffs in Massachusetts
I don't favor Ferrari over any other company and consider my self an objective car lover that will like who makes the best car. I think the F1 is the best car ever and that there will never be a better car produced.
A better car could and will be produced, but we'll have to wait for either Gordon Murray or someone as equally fanatical to come along and have the finances to build another no-compromise, cost no-object vehicle with advanced materials and technology. We may be waiting quite a while though.
Franks sold it to Ralf Lauren. The LM isnt in franks garage anymore, Soon after aquireing the LM crashed it.
Viewing the page source does not work. I used Firefox to right click (which ususally works with pages that have disabled right click in IE), and got the copy righted message. So no option to view source there. But go to View>Page Source, and you can view the source. From there, you can get to show the individual image with basic style, no photo album. Highlight the image, right click, view image, and I got the following in my address bar: http://dugmar.smugmug.com/img/spacer.gif And these guys do promote hacking, so to get the image, you had better know your stuff.
Actaully you can right click on the pictures in Mozilla FF, but you have to do it twice. The first time gives you that copyrighted message, but not the second time. I also did the View->Page Source, but that didn't help.
F1's - a fair few £ now in these pics.......copywrite Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man... The LM is the best looking exotic ever made. I don't think even the modern cars come close to it.
