This is what I did for a living as a 20 year old. Working on the Jaegermeister car that won this race. Later that season my teammates and I became team World Champions.

The 962. The most successful car in roadracing history. I knew I had a cool job back then but it didn't really hit me until I was at the Rennsport Reunion a few years back and saw some of the cars I actually used to work on. A great part of racing history.

Very impressive. There were two Jaegermiester 962s in the States with collectors. Do you know which car the video depicts?

I know Mike Amalfitano had one of the cars although I don't recall the chassis number. He has since past and his collection was sold this past January in Scottsdale.

I love that paint scheme. There is also a BMW 3.0 CSL that Niki Lauda drove in that livery. Great stuff.

I had no idea about Mike. I saw him at Roebling a couple of years ago I think. He went to the Nuerburgring with us in 1990 for a Vintage Grand Prix.
