If you ever get the chance to go, there is a wonderful technical museum
in Sensheim, Germany. (That's about an hour's drive south of Frankfurt)
They have assembled just about every technology from the sewing machine, Steam Locomotives, WW II military, to aircraft.

Most interesting to us here, would be the aircraft.
For a museum, the place is humongous, approx the size of a large shopping mall here.

It has on display, in flight attitudes.....Outside, A Ford trimotor, a DC-3, a Foxbat, Aero L-39 "Albatross", Iljuschin IL 14P.
Including a Tupolev TU-144 and Concorde F-BVFB, mounted on the roof of the building!
Each of these aircraft, among many, many more are explorable. You can enter them and view the cockpits (thru a plexiglass door).
    Here is their website.
It is in German, but the pictures are worth the effort to navigate.

Watch the slide show here, then click on "Highlights im Museum"
It will go to the highlight page, and expand the menu.
"Ьbersichtsplan" at the bottom, is the 3-D drawing of the museum layout.

I was there two years ago, and wanted to stay two more days, but had to move on due to hotel reservations elsewhere in Europe.
Yes, it is possible to view everything, but you won't enjoy it, in a single day.
You'll just tire yourself out. I was alone, and had another two hours drive to my destination, when I saw these aircraft on the roof as I drove by on the Autobahn. Needless to say... I had to investigate.

I hope you enjoy their website, as much as I enjoyed being there.

If so see their sister museum in Speyer.
Click on "Zur Zeit des Technik Museum Speyer " in the uppur left corner. That one has a Boeing 747, Antonov AN22, Junkers Ju-52, an F-101 Voodoo,
Hawker "Hunter" a submarine, (U-Boot-Klasse 205 ) among other displays!
