great road to take between france and switzerland

i was coming down to geneva from london yesterday, and the tomtom directed me to get off the highway about 200km away from geneva, and onto the n5 to pontarliers and lausanne. i figured out this was a short cut, and it was fantastic ! twists, turns, switchbacks, tunnels, uphill downhill etc. i was totally switched on and was passing everything - marvelous. it ends up in nyon on the highway again, and cuts about 70km off the distance, and i actully cut about 20 mins off the trip time !
