To all who missed the event this year at BMW MFG...SHAME ON YOU!! We had around 12 Ferrari's....A HUGE improvement over last year!!! Thanks to CAFE and all of the NC guys that came down. It was nice to finally meet you all!! (Jack Russell Racing...Where did you go?) I think that Ferrari stole the show....Even the Porsche guys were coming over to sneek a peek!! EVERYONE in the Carolinas and GA should plan on attending next year. As a side note, the Rally this morning was a blast!!! My 348 Spider and Bob's Mondial Cab were the only Ferrari's in the run, however, other makes "tried" to keep up in the twisties!!! Thanks again for everyone who got the Ferrari's out of the garage for this one.

Sorry I bolted... but Winston Salem is a long haul. We had to get back for dinner with some friends. Mind you, we made incredible time back to Winston -- 2 hours, door to door ! The Ferrari turnout was indeed terrific. With the exception of the 275GTB, all the Ferrari's at the show were "driven" cars. To me, that's the way it should be -- drive 'em, race 'em, show 'em.

I'm still trying to digest the bratwurst. Other than that, a great show!

I understand...... I know you parked next to me...I went out looking around and when I got back you were gone. It was still nice to see a few other 348's made the show. It just seems the judges liked the red Ferrari's. I guess some people still think a Ferrari has to be red!!!! I guess the vintage one you mentioned did not hurt anyone....... The red Mondial Cab won best of show in the Ferrari class. Oh yeah, your 348 looked excellent!!!

    Take Care

Glad you had a good turnout. I would have come except that I had already committed myself to the FCA drive out of Huntsville, which was great fun as well. (See the "South Central" forum for a few photos.)

I still may make it to Aiken at month's end.

I was there from about 9:30am till 1:00pm. Sorry we missed each other -- I guess it was your cousin(?) I was speaking with for a while. During the judging portion, I hung around the cars for a bit. The rest of the time, I was out checking out the Healeys and MG's.

BTW - back in Winston-Salem last night, I spotted a new 360 spyder (6-speed) with plates "DUSTMAKR". Gotta find out who's floatin' on that fine ride, and get him/her involved in some events. If anyone knows that car, drop me a PM. (Kindly don't post his/her personal stuff on the board without their consent)

    Best Regards,
    Daniel

Was not being anti-social parking the TR by the trailer but we did not enter and the car was dirty anyway. The gathering looked GREAT! We will enter next year with the mark being Italy.
