Always a first class event. Enjoyed watching the first day of activities of the boys going up the hill via YouTube live stream. Highlight so far was the 1973 Sebring winning ex-Peter Gregg/Hurley Haywood Porsche 911 RS in yellow livery. That was a rare sight, the last time this car appeared was at Sebring where Hurley Haywood took it around for a few laps for a very cool video production. I'd been observing a couple of hours before realizing they were looping coverage as it became the same cars and commentary over and over and then it dawned on me that it was after 8:00PM over there and it couldn't possibly be live. Definitely tuning in through the weekend for more. BHW
Duxford is having their annual Flying Legends airshow this weekend, as is the Royal International Air Tattoo, so enthusiasts of cars and planes will be torn on how to see them all! And then there's Wimbledon...
I really wish I could have gone. The Williams FW26B is my favorite F1 car and it ran the hill. Not to mention McLaren F1 GTR chassis 01R (#59 winner of the '95 LeMans). I see GregB drove his Ferrari F1 car up the hill...
Such an awesome event. Definitely have to go one of these years. The ultimate would have to be to go to Le Mans, do the entire race week there, hang out in France for a couple of weeks, then over to the U.K. for Goodwood. It was a bit different this year as they put Goodwood on four weeks out from Le Mans when it used to be just two. From what I'm seeing of Tom Kristensen's Instagram, he's having more fun than should be legally allowed. He's driving one of the ex-Jackie Stewart F1 Tyrells, Ford Mk 1 Escort touring car and an original Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe. Some guys get to have all the fun. BHW
LOL about the Siemens “autonomous” Mustang ........grazed nearly every haybale all the way to the top!
