    Hey all,

I'm leaving the country soon for a week of greatly needed beach lounging and
cigar smoking. What are the greatest cuban cigars available? I generally just go
with cohibas (which I love), but I thought I might try and branch out some if I
    can this trip.

    Thanks

Lately Cubans have been EXTREMELY hit and miss. I have had boxes where the colours of the stick varied to a noticeable degree in the past 6 months. Cuba, with its Communist system has always had a problem with quality control, and it has been getting worse lately.

That said, I enjoy the Coheba Siglio VI.

I still have a box of Cohiba Double Coronas Limited Edition 2003...They are the best that I have ever had but I am by no means a Cigar person. I do however like Oban and caviar and I am very curious to know what kind of gun that is.

I havent tried any Cubans yet but couple friends that smoke cubans were pleased with the Cohibas. I plan on going to South America in Sept. so I may try it then unless I get my hands on one over here.

The best Cubans are the ones that are real.:D

Personally, I like Montecristos or Trinidads.

For nice cigars which can be found pretty much anywhere I highly recommend, Partagas Series D No. 4, Partagas Lusitanias Double Coronas which I'm having right now as I type and the sublime R&J Exhibition No. 4 but make sure it comes out of a cabinet of 50 and not the SBN boxes. Also definitely try the Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios

For truly legendary Cuban cigars I'd like to share some pics from my collection, if you have the chance to try them don't think twice:

You probably already know this but I wouldn't buy cigars from any source except a La Casa Del Habanos authorized retailer.

Happy Smoking & Safe Travels :)

But to echo previous comments, make sure you find a reputable seller and get the authentic product. I have come across many fakes. Some are easier than others to spot.

R&J Churchill the cigar to end all discussion. On the other side I am fond of the Cuban Jose Piedra for English market selection for fun.
