Hi! I'm new to this site and would first like to say, Thanks to all of you who keep this site going. Now, The big question; My alternator went south first, killing the battery as well. I've had the alt rebuilt and replaced the battery. upon my first drive the car overheated. No fans! I,ve checked the fans and they do work, one fuse has power the other not. Top of fuse block on that fuse looks just a little melted. Now when I tried connecting the wires off the radiator fan switch [or temp sensing switch] and key on... nothing. Next; after opening up the relay panel and swithing out relay, still no fans. Now after removing one of the relays and manualy grounding out one pin, Hey I've got fans. I would appreciate any advise before I get into replacing the relay panel or fuse block. Thanks, Oh, If it matters the beast is a 1975 308gt4.

my 308 has been doing the same thing. i have power at the fan switch. i put in a new switch, the car has new QV fans and relays and still they do not come on.

i am using the toggle switch method straight to the fans until i have time ti figure it out. must be the freaking fuseblock.

i am redoing the rear axles and wheel bearing with the help of a few freinds. then i can drive it more and address the problem further. its almost as if something in the relay panel is not sending the signal back to fans to turn on.......... ?

The fuse blocks on the 308s are TERRIBLE. They totally suck. Replace them with modern versions and all the electrics will work better. There are several threads on this. The design is lousy in several respects. I used to have the same fan problem. No more.
