    good morning;

    Does anyone know if there is still grey market ferrari activity here in Maryland? Used to be in the business and curious to know if the FNA was sucsessful in killing it off with legislation.

    There used to be a booming business in TR's when the exchange rate was good and Middle East TR's were available for a good price. This was duing the crazy days when people were paying incedible $ for them. If i remember correctly, it was over $250,000.

    Sure, some euro cars still make it here.

    I have a friend with a Euro 550, and I've seen DOT certified cars for sale recently.

    Once prices started going up, FNA got smart and started to fight the imports with varying tech data that made the conversion much more difficult and expensive.

    Still see occasional euro units coming in at the ports, but no where near what it used to be. Have only seen an occaional 360 and 430, not much else.

    You would think the exchange rate these days would make this VERY unattractive.

    it had been done for availability and i'm not sure of the exchange rate issue with middle east countries? do they deal in USD when the deal is right?

    remember at one point there were 10 TR's in the shop waiting to be converted. It was a great sight. next best thing is the 30 lambos that were on a ship i was sailing on.

    FNA has gotten smart and lets EPA and DOT do their fighting for them. Have to protect the dealers.

    Got to drive an uncoverted f40 and numerous tr's.

    the sound of an TR with only the headers is amazing.....
