Panel gap that would make an F40 jealous...

They are nice cars. Too bad the corvettes and Saleens are smoking them in ALMS. Has there ever been an enzo vs. corvette thread here?

Yeah... Maybe the bonnet is released. Hopefully.

I love San Remo though! Take the targa top off and that would be a great car to cruise the riviera (if not a little large for their streets).

Only due to the stupid restrictors they had imposed on them.

Is there an exposed Carbon Fibre'd exterior MC12?
A friend of mine in Scotland said he saw one.

I hadn't heard of one, and am hesitant to believe that Maserati would make one (unless the price was doubled). Making a car in clearcoat - like Pagani did once or twice - takes far, far more effort than primered and painted carbon fiber.

If you have something in clearcoat, the weave has to flow nicely, and match well at all of the panel seams - it's tailoring the panels of the car out of a difficult pattern of fabric. If you saw a bare Enzo, F50 or F40 I'm sure you'd see the weave goes all over and is not necessarily in nice straight lines - when it's primed and painted it doesn't have to be cause you won't see it.

No there isn't. There was a list of all the MC12's on FC somewhere and all were painted.

The MC12 in that picture is legit. I have a photo of more than half the MC12s built in the same shot. By the looks of it, I see one gray, one black, 3 blue, and 23 white/blue.

Something is a little screwey, because the 7th car up on the right has a pearlescent nose but the rest is white. Lighting?

The cars don't actually look that pearly in the photo that I have. The photo came out of a little booklet from Maserati called La Maserati. You should be able to pick one up at your local Maserati dealership, although I'm not too sure. It just has a little background and a lineup of their current cars.

They probably hadn't finished painting them all when they took the pics.

I hear that this photo was photo shopped because at the time when this photo was taken they only had a few MC12's being made. Everything is also so perfect and you can see that through all the cars and the curtains on the walls.

    ... you were saying?:)

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

It is from Switzerland (Geneva), and you can see it in the pic that shows all the MC12s (on top of the right "column"), near the grey one...
It is not a repainted MC12, it comes directly from Maserati in this colour.

I heard the mc12 was too wide for AMLS, and was granted an exemption to compete...if so, they have an unfair advantage in rear wing.

    What restrictions did AMLS impose?
