planning on buying a grigio alloy CS sight unseen... seems like Porsche Polar silver, with a little more blue. I am hearing the colour is "Impossible to move and dealers hate it". is this a correct characterisation? do i deserve a grigio alloy discount??? Pardon my ignorance but i really need ya'll's help on this one...
Personally, I think it is a beautiful color. I almost brought a 575 in it. I think that it looks a lot better than titanium, which is another word for grey. Dale
i'm looking at all the photos and really like it: it hides dirt already had argento already had scud no like tdf cant find pozzi cant keep black clean ti too dark but i tend to change my mind about owning a car suddenly.... altho' i plan to put 20k on this one... after which colour will not be the issue
Seeing you go back to a CS kind of helps me validate my purchase. Some of your old threads on your cars started the fire for me. The CS is everything I want in a car. And I don't have to do a thing to it!! I'll post some pics this weekend with the little brother Maserati. My better half loves driving it so much already I may have to start saving for another!! Good luck on your car Watt!
Grigio is a very beautiful color. You'd have nothing about which to be ashamed if you buy that. I'd ask for a discount anyway aside from the color!
I think you'll like it, but I don't think it's any lighter than titanium...which is anything but grey. Ti has a lot of highlights that keep it from appearing "just grey". Sorry for addressing two posts in one here. Gary
I personally don't care for Grigio Alloy, it's not ugly by any means, it just doesn't excite me on a 360. On another note, i would trade my 360 for any color CS, I envy the fact your getting one, enjoy!
Not lighter than titanium? I would say it's quite a bit lighter than titanium. I consider titanium to be a dark silver (by dark, I mean substantially darker than say, argento nurburgring) and grigio alloy is almost like a light/baby blue.
GA is my favorite color for the 360 or CS, especially the spider. It showcases the subtleties of the planes and curves better than any other color while still having a glow that doesn't wash out in direct sunlight yet still shimmers at night. I've seen the CS you're considering and I can only imagine how stunning it must be in the flesh. Buy it, post pics and drive it the way it was meant to be driven. Forza, Cavallini
My eyes must work different from yours. I have to look close to tell the difference between Ti and GA. To my eye they have similar reflectivity. Argento is much lighter than either of them, and Silverstone much darker. At least that's how they appear to me. Gary
Here's a comparison...the 430 is Ti and the 360 is GA. Gary Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
GA is the same color as Mercedes Diamond Silver. It really has a blueness to it and looks ... pretty..... My wife's SL55 is Diamond Silver and it suits her, but I don't like the color for a Ferrari. I prefer F cars in distinctive colors, like Pozzi Blue, TDF and Argento Nurburging which is a real silver without any other hues in it. But a CS in any color is still a CS and it is the spiritual succesor to the F40.
i had a 355 spider in grigio alloy (the only one made in that color) and got so many compliments on the color. in fact, way more than my titanium 360 spider... i wish i had it back.
Grigio Alloy is not my favorite color on a Ferrari. It's a little too delicate looking for such an aggressive car like the CS. I would ask for a GA discount. As an aside, there probably aren't too many CSs in GA.
I think how GA looks on a Ferrari depends on the model. Dealers can't pay you to take it on a 550/575. It is ok on a 360. However, an FChatter recently had a Grigio Alloy Euro-edition CS for sale. Suffice to say, I think it was the most stunning CS I have ever seen.
Though a gorgeous color, it comes off as being feminine. However, the aggressive look of the CS may overcome this. Also, difficult color to match with the interior. My advice; see it in person before you buy.
