I just spoke with Bill over at Wide World of Cars to get an idea of a timeframe and price for a new 430. Beside repeating the word "allocation" several times, he offered no help or advice other than the typical "Please come in. I don't discuss this over the phone." I don't know what's the point of meeting in person for a car that isn't even at the dealership other than the possibility of my putting my signature to something...ridiculous.

Can someone shed some light on this mysterious info? Did a search and came up blank.

What's the time frame to order a new 430 and price? Should I expect to pay over MSRP? I'm not on any preferred list, etc...

You are not going to be buying a new Ferrari at MSRP anytime soon.... I know may be new to the idea of it, but MSRP cars are for multiple car buyers from dealerships, many previously above MSRP.

If you want a 430 now, you can pick one up now with a couple thousand miles...settle for that. But forget about MSRP

If you want to talk to a dealer and get the straight talk, with no BS, call FOCNJ and speak with Chris Miele, after you deal with someone of his caliber, you'll have no reason to go anywhere else. I know of a few dozen people that have dealt with him, and I've heard nothing but praise.

Pchop recommended Chris Miele to me. At first, I was like, "Yeah, right. I have three dealers in my area. Why go to FOCNJ?", but people here seem to love him :)

I think you've asked this question a few times. To be honest, I don't know if you're just BSing or what (sorry if that sounds harsh). Many people on this board have stood up for certain dealerships and spoken poorly about others. I suggest it's time to MAN UP and start taking that advice unless you want to continue to have experiences like the unfortunate one you just had

way it will work for a newbie is to buy a slightly used one for about $35k over sticker then get on list to buy whatever the next version will be at sticker. you will have to then trade your old one in for what ever they want to give you. dont plan on getting the next car until the end of its production run either. each subsequent purchase will improve though

Chris Miele; there is no salesperson that you will meet in the tri-state area with more integrity, knowledge, enthusiasm and honesty than Chris.

Do a search and you will find experiences across the board in complete alignment with this point of view.

    Cheers.

Think of it from the sales guy's perspective. Some random dude calling about a ferrari and buying one. He has no idea who you are, whether you are real, why he should waste his time on you, etc. If you think you're an important buyer - here's some advice: you're not.

Going in, getting a feel for them and letting them get a feel for you, etc. is the only way to start the relationship. And it is a relationship business.

As JStone said - MAN UP or shut up.

You're right on, I work in the exotic car sales world you you have no idea how many jrek off calls we get..... You need to be there in person to get a real price and time frame on any vehicle. The only way you can do it over the phone is if you have bought vehicle in the past from that sales person and they know who you are.

with all due respect, you ask about where to get your car detailed, about 10 people tell you Detailing Dynamics and you complain about the cost. About 30 people tell you to go to Ferrari of Central NJ and you go to Wide World. That's all I'm saying - why even post for advice if you're not going to take it?

if you want a F430 there is a wealth of sources on here to help you out, why not take it?

    just my humble two cents

This is 100% on the mark.

Put even more simply: You cannot call a dealer and get put on a list to buy a new F430 direct from the factory. There is not enough supply for that. Dealers only sell new F430s to existing customers, so if you want to do that, then you need to become an existing customer and establish a PERSONAL relationship there. That is essentially what the salesman was telling you.

Sometimes some dealers can't/don't want to say it like that because it doesn't sound PC, but that's the story. If you want to purchase a new F430 (or F460 or F149 or whatever), gotta start playing the game.

You guys are wasting your breath. Save your time and resources for someone that is going to take the advice. This thread is a waste of bandwidth, you are giving advice to a brick wall.

We have one of the pretiest F430 Coupes at our shop right now, with just about every option there is that you can get. To buy the car you need to use Chris Mielle from FCNJ who is the guy people go to when they want the best, then you have Detailing Dynamics detailed car, with our install of 3M Paint Protection , and a dual sound stage III "Capristo" exhaust (the place people go to when they preffer quallity before quantity)
2 in 1 and the price is sooo RIGHT.

But you have to come down to us or go to Chris to discuss this any further :)
