    I was handed a form at work today, (I work at a Group 1 dealership) asking me to donate 10% of my paycheck for the employees of the Group 1 dealerships in the New Orleans area that now have no place to work for a few months.

    I almost contributed until I asked my supervisor how much the Group 1 corporation was donating to help these employees. His answer......zero.

    The company expects the employees to support the out-of-work emplyees, while the company not only is NOT offering to help the New Orleans emplyees, but is considering not asking a percentage of the current employees to return to work as the area is so devastated that business will take years to return to normal.

    Am I out of line for telling my supervisor to shove his form up his a$$?

    WOW! Yea....I'm amazed they aren't doing something as a corporation. I would be torn. Perhaps you can donate through other means. Let your boss know that you would be glad too, but because of the lack of corporate support, you'll take your money and donate it as you see fit.
