The rear wing is a fully-functional part of the car's aerodynamic stability. What would happen when the car is being operated over 60 mph? Or 120mph? The rear wing is one of the most essential components of the car's dynamic stability. IMHO it is also one of the most beautifully designed pieces of automotive architecture. Removing it would relegate the car to being obsolete, nothing more than an ineffective boulevard-crusier. The graphics are simply harmless personal preference.
WOW, Michael that PTS Yellow 3.8 RS is truly stunning, you'd better be bringing it to Rennsport Thank you for sharing all these images, below is my favorite. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Another PTS 3.8 RS is this Riviera Blue car, a Lightweight RS with radio-delete, lightweight headlight package etc. Very special car owned today by Jeffrey S. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like the graphics on the 3.6 and the 4.0, I think they are well-designed, sleek & sporty (as shown on 304/600 below), I think they work well in defining the character of the car, in the same way the original "Carrera" graphics identifies with the 2.7 RS of 1973. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Black with black wheels 4.0 RS # 463/600 when for sale at Porsche North Houston, with adaptive sports seats, as opposed to racing seats. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The decal-delete 4.0 RSs which I have seen all came from the factory with decals around the air-intake/lights cluster, as with PTS Deep Sea Blue 4.0 RS # 461/600. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Although I know the front air dam, side lip spoiler and add on flared front fender are functional, they take away from the original form and flow of this car to my eye. The 3.6 is more pure. The original.
Regarding the 4.0 graphics the 4.0 is already on the rear of the car so I see no need for the side graphics but....I could live with them. Beggars and choosers aspect lol. I fall deeper and deeper in love with each picture and anyone who really knows me recognizes the sign, Gregg is going to own one some day.
