Matthias Müller, Porsche Ag CEO joined Audi AG in Ingolstadt in 1977, and finally became Chief Executive Officer (head of the Vorstand) of Porsche Ag. In February 2014, the Supervisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, reappointed the Chairman of the Executive Board, Matthias Müller, for further five years, effective 1 January 2015. Looks like the manual gearboxes will go into the 'narrow-body' Porsche GT, and not the RS cars: http://blog.caranddriver.com/porsche-reportedly-working-on-a-purist-911-gt-model-with-a-manual-transmission/ What my factory source tells me is that the RS cars have to be the fastest 911 around the track, and this means PDK-S, so the manual gearboxes ended for sure with the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 for sure. We shall see.
