Biased, but agree, here is another in the Rocky Mountain area of the USA Image Unavailable, Please Login
The first variant of any series is often lauded as the purest so I can see how it is appreciated. I love the first, second and third series, so I like them all, for different reasons. Here is a beautiful second variant 3.8 RS with special Signal Green graphics from the factory to match the USA owner's original 2.7 RS. Featured several times prior in this thread, always looks good. Whilst I understand completely that people like to vote for the car they own, its important to say (especially to the uninitiated) that all three 997 RS engines - 3.6, 3.8 & 4.0 - are equally reliable, and any notion that one is "more reliable" than the other or requires less shop-time than the others is simply a myth. I say this based on personal experience, and first-hand knowledge of a range of cars covering all the variants. It really comes down to how the particular car is used & maintained, nothing more. I can say from personal experience that the Mezger engines can fairly be described as "bulletproof" especially when used with care & common-sense, and they can be regarded as far more reliable than the engines of any other make of car capable of similar performance.
The Fast & the Slow. Great image of a new German-registered RS and Renault 4. Image Unavailable, Please Login

In the top image, you can see the effect upon the car's angle of attack as caused by the bigger 21" rear wheels. Of course Porsche Ag have this perfectly dialed-in. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I prefer .1 graphics, and they look great on a .2. How is this accounted for on the build sheet? Option code?

I'll have to look that up, incidentally, that is not the only 3.8 RS supplied with 3.6 RS-style graphics.
Said to be the first (and only, so far) PTS Black 991 RS, picked up this weekend at the Porsche Ag factory by a USA East Coast enthusiast, along with a matching PTS Black GT4 RS to share with his spouse. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Surprisingly, it did not cause as much of a commotion as I would have thought. There seem to be a lot of "posers" there vs. true enthusiasts. It is actually why I love the car -- most people don't have a clue what it is!
two thumbs up! (I assume you mean GT4, unless this is a truly well connected buyer to get a GT4RS, which may or may not exist )
