Yes, the one I looked at is a 2015. 991s started in 2013, right? I'm still learning Porsche. :)

    I share your Ferrari views.

I'm looking at toys now trying not buy another 911 but I keep ending up back there. The GT3 I had was amazing even if it was rough on the road. I drove it, tracked it and so on. Nothing broke, it ran perfect 20K later and I sold it for what I paid for it.

GT3 production started in 2014. Was only supposedly to be a one year production. Production halted in late spring 2014 for engine issue and all 2014 cars recalled for new engine. Production then resumed in fall 2014 and these were done as 2015 cars.

If you decide to go GT3, may want to check Rennlist. There are few good ones for sale there in interesting colors.

If you are near Atlanta in the near future, could check out the P car performance center
and drive the T and GT3 back to back with instructors on their tracks.
Some are wet skid pads, dry pads, mix and match, etc. So not all "race" oriented
and shows a lot of real world and inclement weather conditions.

Cant go wrong with the 18-Way seats in the GT3 if you can get them.. So comfortable and perfect if you do plan to drive the car frequently or for longer stretches of time!

I love the carbon buckets but with my bad back they don't do it for me sadly :( however everyone has a different seat preference...

My back sucks as well, but the only thing we drive for any length of time is the Sequoia, which is like driving your recliner. :)

The car I'm looking at is sports seat plus. Not sure what that translates to as I'm new to the brand.

You're in luck then because those are the 18-way seats :) They offer really nice lateral and depth support and will treat your bad back well (I know they do for mine LOL). I think you will enjoy those very much!!

Would suggest that you pay the extra $ to get a '16 GT3. Not many of them but they do come up for sale and have some engine oiling upgrades that you want. Check rennlist classifieds. 991 GT3 is amazing. The new 991.2 GT3 will depress pricing on 991.1 GT3s.

Two close friends, one with 991 GT3 and the other with an R8. I have a 997 GT3.

I really don't like the R8. It is boring, soft, and feels like a sofa. His is a V10+ w/ extremely loud exhaust and I still think that.

991 GT3 is great. I am biased towards my 997 though. It is much more of a raw experience.

If you are looking for reliability -- Porsche is the way to go. You can hammer on GT3s. All. Day. Long.

Let us know what you decide!!

P.S. -- They are a ways out, and it might be tough to get on the list but check out the specs on the new 991.2 GT3s. The release of the .2 should soften prices on the .1

The deal is made. Will finalize as soon as the Ferrari is out of the shop...again. Hopefully all done by Saturday. 2015 GT3. Still under warranty, so Yay! And it already has tinted windows, clear shield and radar detector, so the only thing we have to do is cameras.

I can tell you already that as of now, the Huracan is the absolute best car I've ever driven. If there were transmission problems before, they're gone now. You hear the car shifting gears, but you don't feel it. The power distribution is linear, like a jet taking off. And the best part, you can be doing 100 mph and put your foot in it and it still leaps forward like it was sitting still. The handling is awesome and the ride is smooth, much smoother than I expected. The only thing I'd change about it is more leg room. That's it.

i was talking about avent and gallardo old sct being let down.
i havent driven huracan but imagine its dct should be equal to porsche/ferrari which are amazing to me
btw, i love the color of your huracan

Thanks! I asked for that color specifically and they found it in L.A. My Ferrari was a 360 so no comparison in transmission, but the Huracan is somewhat similar to the GT-R but smoother. Still a completely different feel when driving being a mid-engine car, but I do love AWD.

They were doing some touch up painting on the GT3 so looks like we won't be able to pick up until next week. But I'll definitely post my thoughts once I get behind the wheel for some good driving.

This will be interesting to see what your driving habits are. I had a GT3 and a Gallardo at the same time. I only ended using the GT3 on the track and drove the Gallardo all the time. It was just so much more comfortable but zero fun on a track.
