lacks the noise and passion of the CS but it's a fantastic track car , super quick and easy to throw around , great feel through the steering wheel and lets you know when it's going to under/oversteer unlike the CS that doesn't even apologise once you are facing the wrong way. i love both cars for different reasons.sorry for the poor video quality

did a 1:08.3 last saturday , i was flying , the quickest i've done there and the fastest street legal car bar a 993TT pulling 500HP and very light. he got me by .4 of a second so i'm not complaining. the best in the CS was a 1:12 but have a lot of work to do with her

Yeah, i've heard that before, my mates father works at porsche melbourne as the finance co-ordinator, and used to own a couple of GT3s... he took me on a tour of the workshop at porsche melbourne and we saw a new GT2.. he said they are scary to drive.. even when i asked which car was more scary to drive; the Carrera GT, or GT2. He said the GT2 felt more scary, all that power in a rear engined car, which is incredibly light..

just spent the day at warwick with 11 other porsche boys and peter fitzgerald showing us some handy tips. dropped from 1:08.7 to a 1:08.1 so i'm pretty happy. he knows how to throw the car around and he did a 1:08.2 with me in the passanger seat! that's an extra 85kg. i did a 1:08.5 with him in the passenger seat so theres another second for me to improve on

Well done. He was .5 second faster than me in my car at Calder, of all places! I reckon, since Calder is where I'm best (it's not very hard, they say) that I'd be seconds behind anywhere else :(...so for you to have been so close is a good effort.

Yeah, he's the main finance guy at porsche melborune, and has been a very good customer to them. He did own a old GT3, sold it, bought a new one which got Michelin to Sponsor for which he got free tires, and at the moment the only porsche he owns is a 2.7 Carrera RS.. And yeh when they brought a red carrera GT to melborune he would most likeley have driven it..

Ohh and Scud, any chance of posting a high res pic of all your cars?:)

a few things to point out.
1: he has only been at the track once before ( i drive there 5 times a year )
2: he only did 5 laps in my car ( i have done several hundred )

i'm sure for him with more seat time in my car at this track , the time between us would lengthen

showing me what my car was capable of in the right hands gave me more confidence to throw her around more . also entering a couple of corners in a different gear giving me more speed . entry lines were slightly adjusted as well

    Scud: Pretty cool!

Is your GT3 a clubsport, or just road going? Also, do you know if the Clubsport is heavier than the normal GT3 due to the cage?

    Thanks.

BTW, I enjoyed your vids as well; great to see your cars getting used!
