http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330133273071 from the grill and dash this looks like a series 1 car.
11966 came out of factory on Jan 20, 1976 so this car is a 1976 production. Might not have been registered until 1977 though, hence calling it a 1977. Series 2 dash, can't see the grille clearly enough to tell much else. Looks mostly unmolested. Gerrit
a little photoshop manipulation and.............. lookie there, what do we have? Isn't that odd? Taking bets on if thats the dust from the bodyshop where she got her new paint job? For those keeping track, she's been up for sale on Ebay a couple of times before this. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any ideas what the reserves on the previous auctions were? Perhaps some of the Toronto guys are familiar with this car....Gerrit, Jay? Series 1 with a sunroof?? It is a confusing car.
The last time it was up the starting bid was $20,000 with a "Reserve Not Met" sign below it. Zero people bid on that one. Greg, I posted a thread in the Canada section concerning your email you sent me. Take a look please...
Hi I can't say I have ever seen this car in Toronto. Also doesn't look as if it is driven much given the dust in engine compartment. My car (11966) is mostly series 1 but some Series 2 stuff. So 12074 with a sun roof is not that far fetched. Gerrit http://dino308gt4.com
I've "heard" of this car before. Supposedly owned by a mechanic in Woodbridge. I think I may have even met the guy once (friend of a friend) but never saw his car.
Hi all, I am new to this and interested in the below Dino GT4 http://www.eliteautosales.ca/inventory/show.php?id=34&p=5&page=1&srt=make%20ASC is this the one in the below thread? if yes - does anyone know it? Cheers,
Try to do a search. I can't remember who but someone talked about this car not long ago and said it was a piece of sh.....t. I think he said he offered $5000 for it. Altough from the pic the car look not bad at all. My grandson really love it. Let us know if you go look at it.
That was me. It is a wreck. Major rust, interior falling apart etc... The rims are after market, and the tires old. It's a parts car. Regarding the sunroof, from what I've read, it was an option from the very begining of production, just rare in the early cars.
How can this be a parts car? It's all there...Rusted out metal can be fixed, interiors redone. What's most important is that it's rebuildable, and as long as it's mostly all there, it's rebuildable. All old Ferraris are projects, it's just a matter of scale (fun!).
I kind of have the same thinking. My car would have been a parts car for many and had already been donor for some parts before I bought it. Never regretted the rescue. But we are not all the same....
