"Big dollar stereo (never listen to it) with remote"

    Nice investment-no pictures of it?

"Got rid of the rear seat, Didn’t like that 2+2 look"

Smart Idea I hate that look too, really spoils the car.

"I added the Rear Wing (Any ideas of what I got it from??)"

Yeah, but it comes with a "Big Dollar Stereo".

It's shadetree modifiers like this that can manage to turn a classic vehicle into a used car.

I agree....this car has seen some serious molestation. I understand the block is not the original. Still if it's rust free and you don't care about originality and you can get it at a price that relects the loss of originality it might be a good buy. The problem is the reserve is still not met at 15K plus. I would think that's about what it's worth in its present molested state. What do you guys think?

This car has been on Ebay-and discussed here-before.

Owner/Mechanic has 2 308GT4s-this and a dedicated racing car-this car was meant to be a driver for his wife; thus the A/C, etc. This car was his own project car that he rebuilt over time.

He is looking for approximately $35K for the car. Too much but it allegedly makes more power, is more reliable etc.

Where have I been, asleep???? When did the GT4 prices climb like California real estate.

$35K for the privilage of driving a molested U.S. model 308GT4. How sad.

My 74 308 GT4 has 64,000 Km -original mileage, is a euro model, original engine/trans, no rust, all sorted out. Brakes, A/C function and cooling system is 100%, the clock even works. I recently added the birdman fusebox upgrade.

But, I omitted the aftermarket spoiler option..... maybe that will hurt my car's value. :)

I looked / called about this car about 6 months ago. The seller is a very reputable mechanic in the area and has his own GT4.

However, the price (then $37K) was way too high. I don't think he'll sell it at that price.

The rebuilt engine though seems to be done right.

Jim you are right about the car-way too high even though the guy did it right.

What the hell - might as well salvage an abused child. I placed a bid, though the reserve is not yet met...

hey guys...go easy on the car..looking at the photos it doesn't look all that bad...i think the spoiler can be forgiven [and removed] and the powerplant looks way cleaner than most...paint looks pretty nice as well..i wouldn't call it abused-and molested is a pretty strong term that usually includes flares and multiple turbos.

to strengthen my point see the "show me your aftermarket wheels on your 308" thread.....

I would tend to agree... the car looks decent... $500 in paint/filling work will get rid of the spoiler.

I don't know the seller obviously..but it's not just obvious mods such as the wing that causes concern. I would be worried that the spoiler is merely indicative of the PO's attitude toward maintaining the car properly...ie: original parts, proper procedures etc. With the presence of a mickey mouse wing one wonders how many other mickey mouse "fix its" or modifications you'd find as you go through this car? I'm sorry but that wing alone speaks volumes about the PO's headspace.

$35,000????? WTF??? Doesn't want to sell it too badly does he? Then again maybe the mods actually increase its value...better jump on it boys.
