Well, talk about wierd. This morning before our plane trip back to Colorado, my wife and I decided to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. First of all, what an awesome thing to do. The bridge is a ridiculously superb piece of engineering and the views are killer.

Anyway, on the way back to south side, I see a Jeep Liberty stopped in the Southbound lane with the hazards on and I notice a dark little car all the way on the right side pulled over. As we get closer I saw that the dark car was a GT4 without a left rear wheel and the jeep crashed into the wheel and ruined the front valence. I wanted to yell at the owner of the F car and see if there was anything I could do to help but he was on the other side of the bridge. I think that they put a spare wheel on and he was on his way but the wheel that the jeep hit looked like it was trashed.

Of course this was going to happen: I tell my wife that I hope that the Ferrari is okay and she goes, "that's a Ferrari? What the hell kind of Ferrari is that?" I love the GT4 but then again I love most of the cars by Bertone.

Disaster area? Umm, accidents happen all the time and two Ferraris having accidents in the same week is nothing. I just found it wierd that a wheel came off of a Ferrari on the Golden Gate Bridge, of all places.

The wheel coming off is indeed odd and noteworthy only if it indicates a potential design flaw. It could easily be that a mechanic didn't properly torque the lug nuts as well.

Otherwise, it's just another traffic accident, and since it sounds relatively minor, it's likely no one was hurt. That's all that really matters.
