Sorry, no pics, but too good not to share.

My GT4 doesn't have aircon, and gets VERY hot inside, to the point that even in winter I drive with the windows down. The amount of fresh air coming from those vents under the windscreen is very, very marginal.

And as soon as in winter you switch on the heater, you get fried.

Soooo - too little fresh air and an overkill of heating capacity.

Since the heater cores are in the fresh air tubes and there are two of everything feeding that single box of 3 vents under the windscreen, I figured I might as well bypass one of the heater cores to remove the airflow restriction that it poses.

And so I removed the cover under the front lid. Turns out that while there is very little room for any air bypasses on the driver side, it's actually quite easy to bypass the passenger side heater core. Just pop off the hose on either side of the core and connect the two. I used a foot of aircraft SCAT duct that I had lying around for the bypass.

And it works!!!! There seems to be significantly more cold air coming in... And the good part: the heater still works (albeit on half capacity, and the passenger side footwell vent only gets cold air nowadays). Come winter, I could always go back to two heater cores with 5 minutes of work.

(in this pic: I bypassed #7 by connecting #6 to #9 with a piece of 3" SCAT duct)

I must admit that the only time I've ever used the heating was when I thought the engine needed more cooling!

Also, I've noticed that the heater slider is a bit all or nothing.

I was going to wait until this winter to install the AC in the dino, but its going in a heck of allot sooner. 20 cellsius outside and I start feel it. And to top it off it gets really humid here.
