I've seen pictures of GT4's with clear front turn signal lenses and I want them for mine. Does anybody know who might sell them ? I see the amber/clear and all amber ones all over the place. Lee
Dave, Check out the 308GT4 Factory Colors thread. There's a 4-pack of pictures posted by Peter that depicts a blue GT4 with clear indicator lenses. Later, after a question by yours truly, Peter even lists a P/N for said clear lenses! I, for one, want the clear/amber combos seen on most Euro cars.
Did I find all-clear lenses for the GT4 ???? you decide... and if you wanna know more ask me where I found them ... : ) Lee Image Unavailable, Please Login
My 75 came with clear lenses but I bought a new set for the housing and it was amber. I don't know which ones I'll put back on...
I personally think that the all-clear route gives a cleaner style on any car, and it seems that modern car stylists think that too. My fasination with all-clear look started with VW's, where the 60's US spec. cars had clear lenses and the Euro cars had amber. There was an increasing fashion in the 90's to retro your VW by adding all-clear lenses. Since then I have been seeking out all-clear lenses for other cars I have including the GT4. Only today I bought some front turn signal all-clears for my '71 VW camper - it seems to declutter the front end. To answer the question of where these ones pictured came from ... well they are not carello items, which do appear to exist or have existed. These ones are from a 70/80's Lancia Beta Coupe and are virtually identical to the carello ones. The part fitted to the lancia was made by Siem with a part # 8799 Now I need to find find front clear side markers! Lee
