    Greetings!

I wanted to ask everyone what a quality repaint and color change of a 308 gt4 would cost if done to concours level.
Do you have to take the body off the frame?
    thanks much,
    JWW

Man are you asking for it. I'm in the middle of this for over a year. Bodyshops are not my friend. Everything is a big deal to them it seems. Around here a Estimate is a guess. Until they get it down to metal. Good luck

Send a PM to forum member (and sponsor too, I believe?) "BRADAN." They've documented numerous bare-metal restorations they've performed here over the years. I can't quote you a number, as I've only tiptoed into the question-asking phase regarding my GT4, but for a truly concourse job - as you stated - I'd guess somewhere north of $25k.

Much depends on what they find when they strip the paint. Corrosion or poorly repaired accident damage can accelerate the cost dramatically. Cost also seems to escalate if you are in a big city where people drop crazy money on cars. In Tulsa I expect this would be a $15k project assuming no body damage. Glass out, doors, hood, engine lid, bumpers, lights etc removed.
