The plastic liner has split in several places along the edge. I highlighted one but there are several. I see many GT4's without this liner so I suspect the part is not available. I would like to repair mine. First thought was to reinforce the back side with fiberglass but I fear it would not bond to the plastic. Looking for any repair suggestion.

Almost all are also missing the circular cover over the brake fluid reservoir. Mine used to have one, but it disappeared about 25 years ago when the car was stripped and repainted. Anyone know where you can buy a replacement?

I think you could repair it with fiberglass and a little aluminium piece reinforce

no the fiberglass will not bond use crazy glue, which is cyanoacrylate. find one specific for plastic. I use it daily in my line of work. just used it today on the arm rest section of my gt4 its the only way to repair it. some of the cyanoacrylates come in different viscosities. line up the repair area and put tape across the repair. than lift the tape on one side only. wear gloves , open the adhesive. make a thin line of glue on the edge of the break, line up and press together . quickly hold with thumb and index finger for a few seconds, .
then without letting go attach the loose end of the tape to hold the two sides together. better yet I would do it with the liner in place. just put some tape under the crack so he adhesive doesn't drip through.. be careful with your skin and eyes with this stuff. I assume no responsibility . I use this stuff daily in marble restoration. good luck
