Can you point out to me which has the 328 wheels and which the Superformance 16" please.

Both cars look great on the bigger wheels. :)

    Hi Jean-Luc,
Can you or your friend tell us more about the 328 motor installation, please? I have done the same thing and wonder if we have some shared experiences. Any photos?
    Cheers,
    Grahame

    Hi Grahame,
I will try to dig out few pictures from my drives . My friend has spent a lot of TIME. This is very impressive, fast ... but the sound is far away from my old four Webers. In addition, handling is not improved, we will have this year the possibility to go together on track and we wil compare. We have the same tires. I will install a uprated sway bar (waiting for me in the garage), hard bushings, uprated springs and may be looks for better breaks. My list of work is endless.

Thanks for the clarification. The "edges" on the spokes look more pronounced on the 16" wheels? Good way to spot them? I take it 328 wheels are also 16"?

Yes. For me, the principal dif. is that unlike the 308 wheels,
the pentagon around the bolts is filled in. That car has the early 328 (non abs) wheels which are concave, the latter 328's have convex 16", which
appear even more modern - wonder how those would look on a GT4.

    In either case, that's the 1st GT4 I've seen with 328 wheels.

Both wheels are 16", even fitted with same GoodYear tires.

Here is a pic of my 308GT4 with 16" 328 Wheels (non ABS)

I think they suit the car, and with the new, fresh tyres, the handling was much improved, and the ride quality seems the same.

some GT4s have chrome around the bumpers and others are black. The ones i've seen with black seem to be otherwise untouched cars, so i'm wondering if both were made, or one was an option, or what.

I believe 208's did not have have chrome trim, 308 (non North American) did have the chrome trim.

The 'Euro' bumpers came in both all black and black/chrome
-- applicable to both 208's and 308's (thanks Hans for clarification on the 308's)

Looks very good on 328 wheels. No rubbing issues I take it?

As far as I understood, it was a parts availability issue. Black/chrome was what they were supposed to be like, but when they could not keep up with the supply of chrome bumpers, they simply went with black ones.

Mine are black (Euro series 1), my neighbour's are chrome (Euro series 1).

(Can you imagine driving through the street in your GT4 and finding out that a neighbour, 100 yards away from home has a mondial and a GT4 in his garage, then learning from him that another 100 yards further along, a Testa rossa is parked? And that in a very down-to-earth middle of the road suburb...)
