I'm just wondering what is the best size sway bar that you could fit on the back of the GT4 to replace the puny 11mm stock. Is 18mm the way to go?Thanks in advance

I just bought one from Superformance. I think I should have looked for a stock used or NOS GTS 18mm bar as it came to about $300 and was unpainted. I am painting it now and will let you know how it fits and or makes a difference. BTW there are 3 different down links on the gt4 and I luckily have the one that I think will work. Before you buy a bar you may want to check, mine is like the one in the 78 GTB/S parts manual, here are the other two, however I have no indication it is not stock. The stock bar is supposedly 11.5mm.

Thanks Robert.I was also thinking of getting the Superformance bar but with shipping it"s not worth it to me.I will have a new bar made up.There is a place that if you bring them the old bar they will make up a new one and I will have it made in 18mm.PS your car is looking good:)

Maurice, 18mm will transform the car, I got a rear bar made up from Pedders in Sydney $180, just supplied the old bar as a guide

Another big tip is to put the original sized tyre widths on the car, I went from 205 to 245 and this totally runied the handling of the car, understeered like a pig

That's what I was thinking of doing.Either Kmac or Pedders.I have 225 on the rear at the moment and I'll see how it goes with the new bar. When it comes to getting new tyres I may consider going for the 205 option.Do you know if Pedders make springs as well and was the bar for the GT4?If so what happened to it?
