    I have something odd with my side marker lights and I was wondering if it was particular to my car, or if it is common, The USA side marker lights on the rear of the car are plain black plastic. The front marker lights are chromed plastic that were painted black. Wy would the fronts be chromed just to paint them black? Did some cars have chrome and some black? Do I have replacements from a later car on one end? Were the front pieces lifted from another car (X1/9?) so they already came in chrome and were painted black by Ferrari?

    I removed the fronts and resprayed the black with a satin sheen black. Looks much better now.

    The ones on my car are black plastic on all four corners.

    These are prone to warp and break, so maybe the ones on your car were replaced by a previous owner and he just used whatever he could find (chrome ones and he painted them black?). X-1/9's were flush mounted to the body, so I don't think they came from that car.

    I replaced one on my car and got it from F of UK... Ouch $$$
