    Hello

What is the availability of new rear lights for 308 gt4? Mine are in poor shape. Is there somebody doing them at moment?

I could make a small scale run of chromed frame, if there is enough need. I already have 3d model of the part. Either by 3d print, or plastic injection casting mold for ABS is what I am thinking. I know, the mold is wery expensive to make, and 3d prints have their own problems.

Is there somebody, who could do the chroming for ABS plastic? Or maybe working in plastic casting industry, and willing to take part for this? Let me know.

Wow - ambitious. What about the reflectors that have a tendency to rust out at the bottom?

As far as I know nobody is doing them, and they are crazy expensive.
Then there will be the reflector issue to address...

I you can launch some repro, I'll support...

I made reflectors from 12V halogen lamps from Phillips or Osram. They fit the housing very well although its a bit of a fiddle cutting the holes to mount the lamp holders and cutting off the edge to fit.

Good luck with the mold for the housing - that will be expensive. I would imagine that the coloured lenses are harder to find though as they tend to get hit first in day to day use (?)

    Cheers

Impressive work, both of you !

When I mentioned the reflector I meant the rectangular colored plastic part...

    Thanks!

Yes I agree the coloured plastic will be harder although it is not made in one piece so perhaps that makes it easier to reproduce.

Mark, can you specify the model of those lamps? I'll try to find them out here.

I have the lens in 3d also. For this part, the only good way to do it, is casting. And there is inserted and glued the round plastic reflector part, that might be wery hard thing to do or source.

Sure, they are either Osram 41835 FL 12v 50w 24deg or Phillips Alu Line Pro 111 12V 50W. The ref numbers may be different depending on where you are but a google search should sort you out.

You will also need the rubber seals and the fixing bolts etc...
