GT5 Delayed again??? WTF????

I cant beleive it ... its now delayed till the holidays? I thought it was out next week, went to the website... and now will not be out till Holidays - not even a real date?

anyone have any inside? what is going on with these guys?

My best hopes would be that they are trying to include more cars. Regardless this is becoming really annoying

Wasn't this supposed to be out like a year or two ago?

They should just released it then and called the improved version GT6.

 

3-4 years ago I believe. GT5 Prologue came out with the launch of the PS3 and it was just prequel to GT5 that was suppose to come out later that year.

I know they want to make it perfect but come on.

I was gonna buy a PS3 just for this game and to be honest I dont even care now.

After purchasing a new monitor, rebuilding the sim cockpit, acquiring a Logitech G27, & placing a deposit on the GT5 collectors edition at Gamestop....ugh, don't even get me started on this.

If Polyphony Digital / SONY misses out on this coming holiday so-called release date, Kazunori Yamauchi will need to be on suicide watch.

is it really becuase of the blue ray production issues? I mean this is one of the greatest games ever done... bring in billions ... give us something! its nuts!

P.S if he was like any good Japanese he would commit hara kari... due to embarrasment and dis honor caused to his company.

I think the decision to delay the game is a mix of getting blueray firmware updated to 3.5 to help reduce piracy and Kinect(something they would never admit).

Sure they are different platforms but they would need to sell 3-4million copies just to break even so the people that have 2-3 consoles will prob go for Kinect or even look at COD. I don't think the hardcore GT racing community has enough people.

Sony/Polyphony Digital prob saw the pre-order numbers and it wasn't enough to break even. It's going to be a $100mill game plus marketing. Any distraction for their non hardcore GT gamers not to buy it will hurt them in the long run. Like the movie industry they make the most sales in the 1st few weeks.
